Next up on Proton Music is "Ground Swell" by Matt Rowan & Robbie Lowe, both from Australia. This production team has released a couple of productions in the past, but Matt Rowan has also recently released an artist album on Baroque called "I Play This". Both are also consistent contributors to radio shows on Proton. Their track is full of well-placed atmospheric synth stabs and groovy bassline elements, and the beat does a great job establishing the funky and addicting groove which will get any dance floor moving.

First on remix duties is UK producer and DJ Chloe Harris who is a known name in Proton matters. She is compiling the next Proton compilation, hosts two shows on Proton, and soon she's also launching a record label with Proton called "Further". Her remix of "Ground Swell" is a driving piece of tech and progressive; it includes some more rough synths and a firm beat, yet there is also place for some enjoyable melodies and pad layers in this track.

Another well-known name in the industry provides us with the second remix. It's Francesco Pico from The Netherlands who is soon ready with his second artist album called "Imagining Sounds 2" on Eelke Kleijn's label Outside The Box. He has released music on labels such as Global Underground, AudioTherapy, and Urbantorque. Furthermore, he's the director of the Magnitude label and radio show. The remix he has made for this release is dominated by a smooth bassline which lies beneath a great deal of pad work and other fine melody layers which, together with the groovy beat, create a fine and fluent atmosphere.

From the UK comes Nelsk aka Neil Barber, who is one half of Rhythm Code who host a monthly show on Proton. Nelsk delivers a slightly techy remix with a rolling and mesmerizing bassline, and some rather aggressive percussion lines to support the techy melodies in this remix.

Lastly, Pacco & Rudy B from Croatia are the final remixers. They have had a few original productions and remixes released on Proton Particles previously, and all their recent tracks have reached Beatport's progressive top 100. Definitely a production team to watch out for. Their remix includes some very fine plucks and stabs as well as a groovy beat, and together these elements create a unique and enjoyable sound that will fit very well in many progressive house sets.

"Ground Swell" is out Wednesday May 20th exclusively at Beatport.
