\o/. Prog is the stuff I listen to the most (Lots of ASOT and the like)

Seems like alot of sidechaining going on there, or at least alot of gating that's supposed to be similar to sidechaining.

It's also amusing just how much I hear sidechained crashes and white noise in just about every prog track. Soon, the entire thing will be sidechained!

Joking aside. I like the feel of this track, nice and chill.

I think the sidechained element at 1:29 should build up, hit then release into echoes instead of being filtered down so abruptly.

My first impression is that the gating does get a little overwhelming at times, and could either be eased up on the wetness ratio, or simply pick fewer sounds to apply that effect to.

The sidechained crash could also be toned down a little at 2:58.

Still alot of "Wub wub wub" going on with the sound. I guess I'm simply hearing it everywhere without much context, alot of prog tracks use it to add something to the phrase, rather than just having it everywhere.

I like the effect at 4:50, and it's something I need to learn. (Do you just run a highpass / bandpass on the master?)

6:54, now that's what I'm talking about tbh! That fit nicely. Same with 7:25.

Track definitely gets better as it rolls along. Could maybe use a melody or something? It needs a catch imo, something a skosh more profound to get stuck in the listeners head.

Yeah, after singing along, could use a melody. Med-high range. Male or female vocals would be fine too.

wow, a lot of stuff! thanks for the detailed feedback, really appreciate it. I think i'm going to go back to the beginning of the track and start things out a little more bare, maybe just with bass and kick + perc like at the end..

sidechaining is something i just learned to do properly (atleast i think i did) so i guess i've been over doing it a little. will keep this in mind, and tone it down a bit =).

i'll note what you said about the first build, and make the drop a little more prominent.

the effect at 4:50 is very easy, simply high pass on master, filter up filter down.

4 minutes is my lame shot at a melody, i think i'm going to ditch this and go for something that i can use more throughout the whole track.

thanks a lot man!

This is good...always you can make it better but at some point you have to start. It good ...if you after ASOT just think about more reverb and delay.Try to focus more on drums and bassline

The main melody (the one introduced already in the beginning of the track) is really nice and calm, and it plays together nicely with the rest of the elements.

After the breakdown (at 5:00) I think it would suit the track with an extra added melody or something though to spark up the last few minutes.

Great work overall!
