ass,
as my last post on TA prior to catching my tranport to TO...
this is a major political issue, and it is international in origin.
The fact you are calling this spam is simply showing how little worth you have.

Major issue my ass! No one is talking about this, no one really cares all that much, hell, it hasn't even made the news outside of the back pages of the Report on Business. How much time do you spend sifting through news sites to come up with this stuff? Honestly, every time you make a thread about some "wildly important" news item it's either entirely local and therefore irrelevant in the eyes of an international forum; or, it's is entirely insignificant to anyone other then the persons directly involved and therefore equally ill-suited for a general forum. This; however, this may be your crowning achievement, as this story is both irrelevant and insigificant; which is fitting because you too are both. |
Things that people aren't talking about are usually the ones that crush the global economy.
I'll agree that the case might not be completely merited but there is a bigger issue here. US companies around the world, and US policy, has a pretty bad history of being Machevellian in nature. Small localized incidents like this have destroyed the reputation that the US, and by extension it's citizens / businesses, have around the world. It is well known in international circles that US 'deals' are only good until US interests change. *cough* Afganistan *cough* Iraq *cough* softwood lumber etc etc etc ...
It will take some time to repair the damage done but until then the honest people of the US will suffer from the reputaion of those who aren't.
As a bit more theoretical note, I've begun to wonder if the changes that are a part of a democratic system fuel this scitsophrenic inconsistency in global policies. Every time a new admin is voted in they are given leway, mandates almost, to do 180s on so many policies.
