I need some help with Techno

I'm currently liking the Techno output of Dubstep labels and artsits, such as Sigha or 2562 or Scuba's SCB project. But I seriously have almost no Idea of the Techno scene, so I don't even know if that stuff is minimal, dub or ambient Techno or everything at once.

Anyone can help with stuff that sounds like this?

I don't really know the exact term of what you're looking for, but I know what you mean. (I guess a lot of it is dub techno influenced?) Anyways I love this stuff, I've been really into this sound for awhile. Sigha and SCB are definitely a great start. There's lots of awesome releases coming out quite regularly.

as far as current stuff, start with artists like:
Peter van Hoesen
Shed
Cio D'or
Milton Bradley
Mike Dehnert
Delta Funktionen
Donato Dozzy
James Ruskin
Jonas Kopp
Silent Servant
Kirk Degiorgio
Ben Klock
Dario Zenker
Norman Nodge

labels like:
Ostgut Ton
Prologue
Blueprint
Ann Aimee
Delsin
Horizontal Ground
Sandwell District
etc...

That's all I can think of at the top of my head. There's also lots of vinyl releases coming out that are doing the whole "anonymous" techno thing, (like Frozen Border etc) a lot of which is excellent. Also check out mnmlssgs, they put out a lot of mixes in this sound.

also, completely shameless:

Thanks, that's a nice list

I've been following Ostgut Ton for a while because they release the odd cool Dubstep record now and then and because Berghain is awesome

I actually listened to your set and while it was well done I don't think there were any tracks that hooked me, but that could be because I didn't pay too much attention while listening. I'll scan that one out again and see if I can get some tracks out of it.

Dude, if you're really from Berlin like your profile says, take a walk to a little store called HARD WAX and have a chat with one of their employees (most likely somebody who produces the very music you're after, such as Marcel Dettmann or René Pawlowitz) and I'm sure they'll be able to give you some excellent advice.

I was JUST about to say that, haha.

Also, go to some nights at Berghain or Watergate. Berlin is closely associated with this sound.

I know about Hardwax but I don't think I've ever been there since i'm not a vinyl person. (First because I don't have the money and second because I don't really feel it, but that'll change maybe)

Anyways Seppuku's list helped me a lot, if anyone still want's to contribute, feel free to do so.
