Maybe someone could help clear up my possible misunderstanding?

When I find a track that is just OFF da HOOK, that TRACK which takes you into the TRANCE state of mind like no other musical piece can... man I just have to share it with everyone I know! Even peeps who don't follow my genre I still say, "Dude, JUST CHECK this Track OUT... once!" (nothing more satisfying than converting) (=

Down with Napster, down with AudioGalaxy and now we have to turn to private networks/hubs to share our music. But why make the biggest Trance HUB out there PRIVATE? I dont understand this philosophy of circulating songs with those of whom ALREADY KNOW of the music, those who know of eachother, like some big family orgy?

We're all here at this website FOR the MUSIC. Straight up for the music and NOTHING ELSE (at least I can only say that for myself...). Keeping it about the music is all about KEEPING it REAL. What are the intentions behind making the TA Hub private? I mean come on, keep it about the music guys cuz THATS what this is all about!

It's private so it wont get shut down like napster/audiogalaxy. Think about it for a second. If people want trance bad enough they can find it.

By keeping it private, they're trying to keep exposure limited. The less people know about it, the less likely it is that the hub gets shut down. Of course, the MORE people know about it, the more ppl can share, the availabilaty of songs on the hub grows etc... It's about finding the right balance.
They're also trying to prevent the hub being sucked dry by leechers. (ppl who don't share, but just dl.)

I guess the ppl running the hub have decided that the current number of users is enough. It's where they think the right balance is.
