Setting ableton controller knob midpoint?

I'm trying to set up my midi controller for use in ableton. I want to set up knobs to control values on an EQ3. However, mapping a knob causes the following.

Value= 0, knob in ableton= -inf db
Value= 127, knob in ableton= +6 db
Value= 64, knob in ableton= -14.5db

I want the 64 (12 o'clock) value to map to 0db on the EQ3 knob.

How do I go about this?

you could use EQ8 and it'll work pretty much the same way. Just use 3 bands and assign the knobs to the gain for each band

Just for the future, would there be a way to adjust things like this?
Setting a range and a midpoint and have the control adjusted relative to that? For instance, setting a maximum/minimum gain for an EQ point but still have mid-point of the physical knob equal 0db.

good question, isnt the scale of the EQ adjustment non-linear? If thats the case then im not sure if setting a mid-point of 0db would work - it might work for standard dry/wet settings though

im wondering for other vsts as well.
say i wanted a gain on an eq point to be +5db when the hardware knob is at 127, -30db when it's at 0, and 0db at 64. i cant think of a way to set that up

Set the paramater you want to assign to its highest value, along with your midi knob at its highest value, this gives you total control from lowest to highest value, all relative to what you see in your software and where your knob is at. works for me.

I might have missed something but can achieve what your trying to do by setting the ranges in the midi map? I can't tell as I'm not currently running live, but I thought you could do it from there.

I did that, but the midpoint is adjusted based on the range.
