nah dude. if you really knew the implications you wouldnt say that. driving drunk is way scarier. you do jail time (albeit 1 night), massive fines, car impounded, license suspended 1 year, dui on record for TEN years, and all sorts of other things. not to mention that you have to have an SR22 for a MINIMUM of 3 years. and if it ever lapses the time starts over. i know too many people who have dui's. id much rather drive without insurance than drive drunk.
oh and yes i know i was technically illegal but i wasnt as legal as the illegal cause at least im licensed and not a fucking idiot driver that passes someone on their LEFT when making a uturn. i had some financial troubles and shit happens. i didnt have insurance. when i say i was 1 week away i was serious. i got paid 1 week after this shit happened. if this shit didnt happen i wouldnt be in the financial situation i am in. sucks but what can you do. im finally really putting the shit behind me by taking care of it all. part of the reason i havent been out much lately. been broke paying shit off.
edit//also if you were to hit someone while drunk your more likely to kill them. yeah i agree the same could happen if your not but you have a higher risk of killing drunk than sober. i agree that the shit you can get into can be worse financially just by not having insurance but overall its not.
