Brisbane is kinda weird. Clubbing is segregated between 'City' (generally pop, top 40, hip hop, or you're just drinking at a pub [same music policy applies]) and 'The Valley' which is pretty seedy for the most part, but has all the good (good?) clubs playing the various forms of electronica (and, sadly, some with emo rock and crap like that too).
It's nice to know we're becoming more English though. I've never witnessed so my glassings in my life as my time in the UK
