cheers mangz... I used genuine ( not that peak controller thingy ) sidechain compression with waves C1... bit of a pain in the ass to set it all up mangz in FL Studio

yeah.. i think most people confuse sidechain compression with 'ducking' the amplitude of the bassline with the beat.. i do the former.

but the anthem 'Mistral' by 'GTR' was produced solely on his shitty 4 yr old 'IBM Laptop' during a 2 week holiday banging french maids.

Save a few hundred, invest in a shitty laptop, and voila! You could create the next Mistral

Yeah, he probably wrote the melody on his laptop.. maybe the bass, but I can guarentee most of it was done in a proper studio.
