For the Record, Maison in No Way will have there regualr crowd.
Maison isnt even open on Fridays so the Regular crowd is not present
and its only the people coming out for Riccardo and Sneak who will be there.

while i didnt have the most memorable night....im a bit shocked at how harsh some of the reviews are.
To bash on the artists as garbage altogether is the harshest one imho. Ive seen both Villalobos and Sneak twice now....and while it wasn't their best performances, they certainly aren't garbage.
Anyone who's been to Villalobos@Metropolis and Sneak vs. Farina@Cobra can attest to that.
Getting into the club wasn't too bad. Got there at 12 in the online ticket pickup and it took roughly 15-20 minutes. I've experienced much longer. I didnt even bother looking at the line at the front of the club. Trying to get in w/o advance tickets is simply silly for an event like this.
Coat check took another 15-20 mins (thank god bunch of pple yelled coat check is @ capacity and left line....so i scooted to the front. The coat check definitely needed improvement....how hard is it to use a stick to put coats on the top bar.
The long line outside and at coat check were offset with no lines to the bathroom. Loose some...gain some. The bathrooms were quite nice and the attendants were hagglers like most clubs.
While the club was definitely over crowded, i still found it manageable to get from point A to point B. The dance floor was busy and the number of passer by were low in comparison to Guv. for example. I dont think the crowd was the worst. It was definitely a sexy crowd....and sometimes downright horny lol
Overall, i think the club is gorgeous. I had no problems with the sound system. Heck, i even standed in front of stacks and didnt need plugs. While having a Funktion-one system is nice, i think the club picked it more for its snazzy look than its quality. I didnt feel like the system was pushed to its full potential last night.
For the music, Sneak was ok. He wasnt madness like he was at Cobra last night. His best music was played while i was @ coatcheck unfortunately. Villalobos was very up and down. The trip down 80's lane didnt do it for me. Drop 1 or 2 tracks ...fine, but not the whole era. Especially that i cannot really relate to the music anyway lol. From 4-5, i think he was quite good. Overall though, i wish he had played more like @ Metropolis where he drop tunes with booty shaking bass lines and overall happy music. Last night, he played drugged out, stretch and downright weird stuff (think, last track....used to wind everyone down).
I was curious to hear Sneak vs. Villalobos, as weird it would have sounded. The two are a weird pairing tbh. I'd see more a Villalobos vs. Hawtin, vs. Loco dice, vs. Carola.
Friend's attendance was at max. Was great to see many i havent seen in a little while.
I'd definitely check out Maison again....I'll make sure to predrink tho. $7 a regular beer is steep. At least the beer is freezing cold, which i dont get very often in clubs!

i'd have to agree that the system was off. im sure it can perform much better than that. i thought ricardo was pretty dissapointing but i actuaally very much liked fries and bridges set and most of sneaks set. i had a good time but i definitely think it could have been better.
i don't understand how someone who's considered such a good dj (villalobos) can't play a full set without getting distracted...? i dunno, i thought that was part of being a dj, but thats just me. if you wanna party, party, but don't over do it if you can't perform. i mean two or three hours isn't very long to keep your head in check.
