Digitakt is superb.

Also makes an excellent sequencer for other gear, plus acts as it's own audio interface providing discreet channels into a DAW without sacrificing your current audio interface.

Elektron should licence out Overbridge to all other manufacturers.

cryo have a question for you if you're out there since you have the td-3 and mo.

from what Im hearing the mo sub oscillator seems quite too large, will eat up the mix way too easily.

so question: with the sub oscillator turned off, would you say the acid is more competent or rather more pleasing to your ear on the mo or the td-3?

Ive studied the td-3 vs the 303, and the td-3 definitely lacks the depth the 303 has, but thats a small nuance.

a lot of people are not mindful of turning off the sub oscillator when comparing these things on youtube videos.

Im not really an expert in acid, but the standard td-3 is definitely more of what Id consider your typical acid synth and I think I like its core sound a little more than the MO. Its got way more of that juicy squelchy 303 sound. The MO gets oversaturated pretty easily and has a thicker and more aggressive sound overall and, yeah, the sub can be overkill. It can get muddy and smudgy sounding as soon as you start using the sub and all those extra features, but they do give it a lot more range.

My biggest surprise with the MO was that I initially expected it to be basically the same as the standard TD-3, but with more options and range, but thats not the case at all. Its actually really hard to push the MO into the same territory and theres hardly any overlap with the TD-3s sweet spot.

fair enough, seems like owning both is the best option.

figured id put in an order on the mo before tariffs raise the prices.
