Forbidden Paradise Series

What's your favourite? I've only just got them all so going to give them all a listen. I've heard that 7 is superb!! Are the early one's more acid techno?

Be careful how you describe them, I was in trouble with Rebel9 for calling the third one a mix of house, techno, hard trance & hardcore about a year ago.

I'd say the editions Tiesto are a good example that his recent diversity in styles is nothing new, but something that has been with him his whole career.

7 is pretty good, but i prefer 6... but that is due to Netherworld. My favourite tiesto cd from that time is Lost Treasures 2... might be worth a look if you enjoy hearing the FP series.

Cheers for the feedback so far! Well i've listened to 7, 8 and 9. 7 is pretty damn good. 8 is terrible and 9 is good. On 9 it's all about Musix - Do ya See The Light!!! Absolutely Gargantuan record!!! M.I.K.E doing what he does best!!

Tiesto only mixed 3 - 7, i believe the first two (which werent even really mixed) were compiled by arnie (forgot his last name) and 8 and 9 are mixed by Doc Fabian. My favorites were 5 and 7, and 8. The lost treasures were pretty good too but my favorite was the second one.

Oh boy, when I first joined this forum back in 2010, and when I first got into Tiesto back in 2007, I was way too novice and inexperienced to understand the forbidden paradise series. I heard a bit but quickly turned it off and listened to what was trending in 2008-2009.

Then i completely forgot about the forbidden paradise until present day late 2025. And holy shit this series is GODLIKE.

I might even dare say right now what I'm hearing in Forbidden Paradise 3 by DJ Tiesto is better than 90% of his Magik and ISOS stuff. Seeing that he mixed this back in 1995, it shows that he was in his very hungry area to make a name for himself. I mean, there was no Blackhole Recordings, no Sparkles, no Silence, no train that was Suburban yet. this is Tiesto purely mixing with pure classic acid, hard trance in its PUREST form mixed in with some people have said, even some gabber.

Truly magnificent. Major bump on this old thread but it deserves some attention imo. I'm thoroughly enjoying Forbidden Paradise 3 right now and cannot wait to hear the rest.

im just surprised nobody talks about it anymore because the last time I had heard about it was nearly 20 years ago and I just randomly thought about it out of luck. does anybody else here think it's worth another discussion in 2025?
