Monkey Dancer 2 Taroko-Zane Hill-Progressive House

Hello again. It's been awhile, but I've been producing like mad and would like to offer you all a small update on my latest musical endeavors As always let me know what you think. This one is one of my first real attempts at prog house as I am usually strictly a trance-head :P Cheers and much love! FREE THE NA'VI! -Zane Hill

I thought this was pretty great! Prickly and squelchy enough without going OTT.. I like the pad usage and your whitenoise is strong and climactic. Melody coming in at 6:50 is really cool and adds a nice change-up while complementing the rest of the track enough to still be progressive. Good title for this too, as the stabs and vocal stutters create a distinct Japanese feel.

I dunno, the kick and bass could be a little tighter? Kick didn't seem too powerful but the bassline is definitely nice, maybe you can't have it both ways. I'm a fan of your trancier efforts - will be more interesting to see if prog guys like Nightshift or msz can shed any more light on this. I say nice work though as a departure from your usual style!

Cheers man! I agree on the portion of the bass width, however I am having this issue with Ableton where every time I render a project, it seems to come out with this "glitchy" sound where once in awhile it seems to almost "skip". I think that may have to do with the overall tightness sound but that is something I will have to look further into. Rest be assured, my trance days are certainly not over and I look forward to getting back into my uptempo groove. Thanks again!
