Never tried rotary actually
But since I sometimes mix with the gains rather than with the faders, i guess rotary would be good sometimes

i say faders... i NEVER use the crossfader, i think it is more suited to the hip-hop / scratch style, id rather use the individual track faders, they don't wear out as fast. the bass/mid/treb knobs are crucial to adding texture, but not as crucial as the individual channel faders themselves
