good start.. lets see some automation and more progression.. the hi hat makes the track sound dry and redundant work with that

good elements and good start

Pretty cool tune. A smoother reverb would've been great. A more defined lead wouldn've been cool too. The percussion seemed like it need a more solid direction at times. Overall, I enjoyed it though.

Maybe you could tell me what you think of my track? the link is in my sigline.

Good track ,but a little bland, needs something to make it a little more interesting, but overall, a pretty production!

0.44 - 1.25 Groovy rhythm sound. a little repetative. The clap seems a little weak.

2.30 new layer. I like that sound; nice phasing.

2.50 break.

2.58 I think the high rhythm needs more body to it.

4.30 nice atmosphere here. Very relaxing.

2.50 - 6.03 It is pretty long period with out a beat. You may want to consider a break beat.

6.10 the pay off. New layer sounds good. The bass drum could be louder.

Pretty groovy work here colonelcrisp.
Xeno.

Listening.
...Youve definitely got an ear for good sounds.

0.00-0.40 Intro. bass & bass drum are good. You could turn em up a bit.

0.40-1.30 mids enters; I like that sound. Seems to be an overly length of period without change or addition of other layers. The hihats/claps are ok. The centre driving clap seems weak compared to the ping-ponging hihats (should be vice versa)

1.30-2.24 highs enter. I Think another mid to high range element should be put in the middle of this period.

2.30-2.50 very short period with this rhythm. Maybe this can be moved to the 1.30 mark?

3.25 break beat starts. Good bass drum beat. You could add some toms or snare drums to help drive the break beat.
4.45 break beat ends

4.45-6.05 transition/build up. Nice sounds. This period is still a bit too lengthy without a bass drum.

6.05 The phasing plucked guitar sound needs a few more notes added to it - The rhythm seems empty between plucks.

7.55 Huge drum roll...

I think more intermediate layers need to be added to this tune to help build it & keep the attention of the listener. The breaks should be reduced. They are very nice, ambient & relaxing, though they interrupt the flow of the tune. Maybe add some pads to it.

Xeno.
