southwest you should be able to get a REALLY cheap nonrefundable ticket.

we have had really good luck with virgin. also try burbank to oakland. you can hop right on bart to get in to the city. it is super easy.

With southwest you have to book your flight early to get a super cheep fair. After that is is not so cheep.

I would Try Delta from LAX to SFO and or Alaskan Air also from LAX to SFO.
Found $44 round trip tickets to love fest this year. If you are looking now I do not think they will be $44.

I tend to use Yahoo travel a lot to find flights.
