my first real go at a dubstep set. I am not really well-versed in it so I spent some time thumbing through tracks, be they old or new or popular I really had no idea.

Will do. I'm the same way as you when it comes to dubstep...I don't really know whats "hot" or anything, but I've been looking for some mixes to go through. So you'll get a really unbiased opinion here.

lol, yeah, there's some definite big-names in the dubstep world in this mix like Skream and Benga. I know that for sure, but there's 40 tracks in the whole mix so I kept it varied (at least I think).

Originally I was only into the more melodic twinkly dubstep like Burial and Ital Tek which is hard to find other artists making that sound; but recently I've been getting more and more into the *standard* dubstep (god I probably sound like such a tool to those really into dubstep, haha) with the wonky sub-bass that creates its own melody and rhythm.

dubstep is growing in popularity here in baltimore. a lot of these cats with smash it with your recent techno releases and run away with the dancefloor.

gotta be high on pcp to really enjoy all three hours of it but i found myself enjoying it at 25 minute intervals.
