Hello, I have a question about selling only vinyl.
My parents have a lot of them, mostly from '70s and '90s and we're looking to sell them.
Question is, where to sell them and how to know how much to ask for them?
I'm guessing eBay or Discogs? Or is there another, better option? And how to know the price?
Thanks for help.

discogs, no contest.
Be sure to follow the goldmine grading standards or else you will be crucified. Grade conservatively.

Problem is mate vinyl aint worth what it was a few years ago (from say 2001-2205) the market just dropped and its continued (I am talking more dance music though so not sure about other genres) if you sell them in bulk it will be easier but expect to get a lot less than what your thinking most likely, if singles is how you plan to sell them ebay is ok providing you know they will sell quickly or else the fees kill you and discogs stuff will only sell if not many people have it for sale as some sell stupidly cheap but the fees are much better.

Problem is most sellers on discogs take overprices for even the shittiest records. But if it's really a gem it might be worth it though.

Hardly anyone uses ebay anymore. Was quite big before Discogs marketplace now it's rather useless. I used to hang on the Progressive House section which only UK ebay had. It might be gems here and there but most times sellern on ebay just sell huge pile of shits in bulks so you might even get off cheaper on Discogs instead if you are buying a few.

Unless you have some rare records in mint condition it might not be worth the trouble.

I've sold some vinyl's on this site. Pretty decent place to sell. Lot's of audiophiles shop in here.
Haven't used GEMM for ages, like ten years ago. Your really sure it's a good site to sell vinyls?

I haven't sold anything on their site since 2007 but when I was, I was getting good prices for the vinyl I was selling. Most of it was older rock music but I was able to move the vinyl pretty quick. I dunno how good they are today, but it was a site that popped in my head when I posting.
