I don't live in Canada or anything but I followed that link on the main site news page outta curiousity and was wondering what was going on up there?

Other celebs are cancelling their trips to TO aswell. it's stupid if you ask me!

ok how is it stupid?
personally I think it is the right decision to cancel the show. I would rather err on the side of caution than have a bunch of ppl get sick, let alone die(and no, im not worried about PvDs health, he is alone in a DJ booth, its the crowd I am worried about)

you are right. it is not insignificant, they are just doing a good job of containing it. it remains a serious threat worldwide. i don't know fi canceling the show is appropriate but if he doesn't feel safe for himself or his fans he has every right to. or maybe he needed a vacation and used it as an excuse for a day off.

If you're going to be afraid of SARS, get out of DJing. All the smoke, the inherent risk of being around people drinking, the dangers of automobile (let alone air) travel... they are all high-risk activities on par with SARS.

but there hasnt been any transmission in the city, one case came here from Hong Kong via Vancouver, but it seems to have been contained.(Or so we hope)
