anyone know songs like this
hi, im new here
i was listening to my radio, and i heard this song, dj sammy - heaven, and i went looking for informations about it, but i found these forums too. i think its really good to have a big trance community. anyways, do you guys know any other songs like this
thanks
sorry buddy but i feel a flame coming
but i think you will like:
Yanou feat. Do - On and on
Dj Sammy - Boys of summer
thanks for the info, ill check those out, btw, what is a flame
well some people in here just don't like dj sammy, so people who do aren't very popular
but i don't mind
Check out productions by
DJ Sammy
Darude
DJ Jean
Scooter
Maybe these artists will appeal to your tastes.
Then once you realize the vast wealth of infinitely better trance productions that are out there, we'll help you along.
*can't believe I am answering this constructively*
no no NO!
Stop pointing this potential true tranceaddict in the wrong direction!
Check out tracks by: DJ Tiesto, M.I.K.E/Push, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Dumonde, Airwave/L-Vee, Solar Stone and Rank 1.
These should set you on your way.
Also check the downloads page on this site for some nice tracks!
FLAMEBAIT!!!!!!!
how can anyone actually like dj sammy - heaven?
you may also like
IIO - Rapture
IIO - In The End
4 Strings - Into the night
4 Strings - Diving
These songs are considered "cheese" by some people, I actually do like the ones I listed above. DJ Sammy is definately "cheese" but if it opens your horizons to a new style of music, then it served its purpose.
you will probably like lasgo, ian van dahl, scooter, alice deejay, djs@work, dj encore.. if you like dj sammy
i used to like all that stuff before
but why not give some of the tunes on the singles page of this site a try - its not at all like dj sammy but they are much nicer tunes!
if you like cheese you will also like this song named
alice deejay - better off alone
cheese to the max, you can find it on kazaa
for some non complex songs that can be good for noobs are
duncan sheik - on a high (gabriel & dresden mix)
andain - beautiful things (gabriel & dresden mix)
you won't find these on kazaa though, unless its me thats hosting it
stop sending him in the wrong direction!!!!!!!!!

For a little bit of an intermediate between the cheesier commercial trance and the more polished, 'professional' trance, you could check out the Ministry of Sound mix albums.

it's just a joke
Before going out and spending your money on a cd compilation that is just radio versions of good song, i would recommend downloading some tunes first. Trance is split up into several genres by its listeners, so ive made some categories as I classify stuff for you to see:
Cheese (Commercial)
Darude - Sandstorm (Many seem to love this at first)
ATB - 9PM (Till I Come)
Robin Fox - I See Stars
Angelmoon - Hes all I Want
Vocal Cheese (better music, cheesy vocals)
Kate Ryan - Desenchante
DT8 Featuring Roxane Wilde - Destination (Vocal Mix)
Kristine Blonde - Love Shy (Electrique Botique Remix)
Marc Et Claude - I Need Your Lovin (Original Mix)
Vocal Trance
Solar Stone Featuring Elizabeth Fields - Speak in Sympathy
Chakra - Doors
Chicane - Autumn Tactics (Thrillseekers Remix)
Mind One Featuring Rena - Star for Me (Vocal Mix)
Classics
Moogwai - Viola (Armin Van Buuren Remix)
DJ Tiesto - Sparkles
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster
Robert Miles - Children (Tilt's Courtyard Remix)
Uplifting (usually instrumental, builds up and plays strong synth melodies)
Threesome - Mohave
Mona Lisa Overdrive - Born to Synthasize (Neo and Farina Dub)
Agnelli and Nelson - El Nio (Matt Darey Remix)
System F - Solstice
theres also such splits (for me anyways) as hard trance, GOA/Psy Trance, and Progressive Trance. These categories arent like and official rule or anything and alot of songs could fit in multiple categories. If you have any questions, or want recommendations from a certain area as ive defined here, PM me..
(Sorry in advance to anyones tastes that this post may offend)
This is like the sweetest thread of the Day!!
Hey threadstarter - Iliketrance: Remember this are your first steps into Trance. I'll suggest make a copy(printscreen) of your post in this thread. Save it and someday you'll read it back and you'll have a great laugh!
Don't take this wrong! I rolled kinda the same way into Trance
Welcome to Trance
IF you want to buy what most of us(soz 4 the grouping if ur offended) like/listen to grab a CD from Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten or Paul van Dyk.
Titles coming to mind:-
PvD - Politics of Dancing
AvB - Transparence / In Motion
Otherwise I'd suggest buying a TranceNation MoS CD, or best of all download a few tracks on this site first and develop your taste.

That is sad you had to post that but with a lot of assholes on these boards I can see what you mean. Anyways I downloaded Born to Synthesize from your list since it was the only one in that category I didn't have and wanted to say it is an incredible song. Thanks
yes def get pvd's politics of dancing...as well as tiesto's "in search of sunrise" series...this should be a nice intro to trance
We're all trying to "mold" him in our image....
Ya...forget DJ sammy man, or any of the commercial cheese shit.
Some CDs that deserve a mention:
DJ tiesto "In search of sunrise 1" or "Summerbreeze."
Good noob CDs.
