Thumbs down Israel and the Arab world

HA! look at this map... Many many Muslim nations and only 1 Jewish one.... look at it's size... its a needle in a haystack!

Now their saying that if we give a bit more they'll have peace with us.... BULLSHIT!

There is a deeper underlying hatred towards Jews from the Muslim world. I'm not saying all... but i could definitely say the majority.

Anything else you want while we're out there giving up land that rightfully and respectively belongs to us! It's a disgrace that in such a day and age, shit like this is still acceptable.

Posted by Eugene on Jun-04-2003 18:43:

But you're ignoring a very important point.

Jerusalem is sacred to the Palestinians.

Posted by Cyrus King on Jun-04-2003 18:55:

And another point

ISRAEL HAS STOLEN ALOT OF THAT LAND

And how are you comparing a religion to a race of people??

Arabs vs Judaism

P.S You are probably going to be surrounded by ARABS when you stick your country right dab in the center of the middle east

Posted by Shakka on Jun-04-2003 18:56:

I agree with you.

Posted by Shakka on Jun-04-2003 18:59:

I meant I agree with Melech_mike. I don't know about Israel stealing land--I think it's the other way around. Who do you think lived there before "palestine" was created in the 1940s? Jews have ALWAYS been there.

--------

Benjamin Netanyahu gave an interview and was asked about Israel's occupation
of Arab lands -- his response was , "It's our land."
The following material was written by an American Christian professor
BRIEF FACTS ON THE ISRAELI CONFLICT TODAY....Takes just 1.5 minutes to
read!!!! It makes sense and it's not slanted.

1. Nationhood and Jerusalem. Israel became a nation in 1312 B.C.E., two
thousand years before the rise of Islam.
2. Arab refugees in Israel began identifying themselves as part of a
Palestinian people in 1967, two decades after the establishment of the
modern State of Israel.
3. Since the Jewish conquest in 1272 B.C.E., the Jews have had dominion
over the land for one thousand years with a continuous presence in the land
for the past 3,300 years.
4. The only Arab dominion since the conquest in 635 C.E. lasted no more
than 22 years.
5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital.
Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when
the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they never sought to make it their
capital, and Arab leaders did not come to visit.
6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Tanach, the Jewish Holy
Scriptures. Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran.
7. King David founded the city of Jerusalem. Mohammed never came to
Jerusalem.
8. Jews pray facing Jerusalem. Muslims pray with their backs toward
Jerusalem.
9. Arab and Jewish Refugees: In 1948 the Arab refugees were encouraged
to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews.
Sixty-eight percent left without ever seeing an Israeli soldier.
10. The Jewish refugees were forced to flee from Arab lands due to Arab
brutality, persecution and pogroms.
11. The number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 is estimated to
be around 630,000. The number of Jewish refugees from Arab lands is
estimated to be the same.
12. Arab refugees were INTENTIONALLY not absorbed or integrated into the
Arab lands to which they fled, despite the vast Arab territory. Out of the
100,000,000 refugees since World War II, theirs is the only refugee group in
the world that has never been absorbed or integrated into their own peoples'
lands. Jewish refugees were completely absorbed into Israel, a country no
larger than the state of New Jersey.
13. The Arab - Israeli Conflict: The Arabs are represented by eight
separate nations, not including the Palestinians. There is only one Jewish
nation. The Arab nations initiated all five wars and lost. Israel defended
itself each time and won.
14. The P.L.O.'s Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of
Israel. Israel has given the Palestinians most of the West Bank land,
autonomy under the Palestinian Authority, and has

supplied them.
15. Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the Jews
were denied access to places of worship. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and
Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to people of all
faiths.
16. The U.N. Record on Israel and the Arabs: of the 175 Security Council
resolutions passed before 1990, 97 were directed against Israel.
17. Of the 690 General Assembly resolutions voted on before 1990, 429
were directed against Israel.

18. The U.N was silent while 58 Jerusalem Synagogues were destroyed by
the Jordanians.
19. The U.N. was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated
the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.
20. The U.N. was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like
policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the Western
Wall.

Give me a break Shakka. I am never going to take Netanyahu's interviews seriously. That is like listenening to Arafat preach his cause.

Do you honestly think that no arabs or palestinians lived in that area before the 1940?? That they Just appeared out of no where to piss off Jews once Israel was formed in 1948?

HAHAHAHAH!!!

You know that the before Israel was formed there were people of all races and religions that lived there.. IN PEACE!

However, it was mainly middle eastern arabs living there... seeing that its the middle east.

Posted by Shakka on Jun-04-2003 19:20:

I never said there weren't people living there before 1940. I said there have been Jews there long before 1940--you make it sound like they invaded the land they'd been living in for centuries. I suppose native Americans were also unlawful invaders in the U.S.???

Middle East doesn't refer to Arabs, dummy! It refers to geographic location!

You should read the book "Exodus" if you really want to understand the history of Israel. It's evident that there's a lot of misinformation, disinformation, and simply misunderstood information out there.

Ive read the book of exodus actually.... and its like reading the bible.

If you are utilizing that book as a justification to your argumen... you need alot to learn.

And Jews may have been there long ago... but so were other people.

HAve you heard of babylonians, assyrians and egyptians?

HAHAHHA.. you probably believe the pyramids of egypt were made off the backs of Jews! LOOOOOOOOOL

There were approximately 600,000 Jews in Palestine as opposed to 1,200,000 Arabs pre-1948. There was no Palestine state prior, and in 1947 the UN partition lines were drawn up to reflect the demographics of the region. It was accepted by Israel.

The Transjordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, etc., rejected this and invaded thinking to crush the Israelis. After the war despite Israel controlling nearly all of Palestine, the Arab states refused to recognize Israel, nor negotiate a readjustment of territory. The UN established armistice lines that were drawn up as such:

Israel once again agreed to said divisions. The establishment of a Palestinian state could have happened right here ... but did Jordan or Egypt want a Palestinian state? Were they concerned about the plight of the Palestinian people? No. They once again engaged in failed attempts to uproot all of Israel which has resulted in Israel controlling ALL of Palestine. Then surprise surprise, all of these arab states are all of a sudden concerned about the Palestinians and them having a state! So the statement that Israel stole much of their land is ludicrous in that Israel was originally satisfied with land that is almost a third of what Israel is today. If anybody has failed the Palestinians it is the surrounding Arab states that have continually given them empty promises over the past 5 decades.

Actually, no. And try as you might, you're not going to get me to come down to your level and get into a flame war. Jews have always been there and they have been persecuted for centuries. Doesn't mean they don't have a right to be there and certainly doesn't give anyone the right to try and eliminate an entire race of people as Arafat has tried time and time again to do.

I believe the Egyptians probabaly built their silly pyramids, though I really don't care who did it. They're there, they're big, they're multi-faceted triangles. It gives me wood to think about it. Who do you think built them? Aliens? Is it even relevant??

I think getting in these constant pissing contests helps nobody and illustrates the exact reason that peace talks continually break down.

bullshit. just look how much the jordanians cared for jerusalem when they "possessed" it from 48 to 67

Posted by DR86 on Jun-04-2003 20:32:

Hey, one rather small, unimportant detail.

JERUSALEM IS IMPORTANT TO CHRISTIANS TOO!!!!

Posted by TranceGiant on Jun-04-2003 20:38:

Hmmm....so fucking what?

What does the status of a city have to do with its religious importance to one religion or another? Theres a city called Israel with a capital called Jerusalem. End of story.

First off, Israel is a country, not a city. Second, you must not be Chrisitian which is weird considereing you're from Austria.
Jerusalem is the holiest city in the WORLD for Christians. Our savior was born there and died not too far away from there. Obviously, you have undersestimated the importance of this city to Christians.

Posted by ZinG on Jun-04-2003 20:58:

that's it mike
i was trying to convince myself you have a little bit of respect and decency towards humans but now i concluded you are the most racist human being on Tranceaddict. And wtf you doing in Toronto then? go to israel and show them how you spread your hatred maybe they'll love you for it, who knows?

You know what ... it's kinda funny, Jerusalem is the #1 HOLIEST city for christians. Yet is only the number 4 holiest city (or something like that) for muslims and it's only holy for the Jews because of the temple mount. Anyway, I think it's time that the christians maintain control over Jerusalem. Neither the Jews nor the Muslims have demonstrated the maturity to control Jerusalem so I think that niether should have it.

Okay, you had me until you mentioned Christians controlling things here. That truly scares the sh$t out of me. Are these the same Neo-Con Christians who throw Bible verses out and pretend that God is on their side, while giving the green light to capitalistic agendas and overthrowing sovereign countries? No thanks, please.

It was more or less a joke . I hate bible thumpers as much as the next man. I'm just saying that the Jews and the Muslims can't seem to agree as to who should have it, so I think that neither should have it. Besides, if we start sending christians from here to live there we'll have less tv-evangelist christians in the country to worry about.
