Ferry Corsten @ Aria : 6 Hours Set (20/06/2003)

Whew! I couldn't have lasted the 6 hours even if I didn't have to be home early this morning! Yes, I'm a wimp!

I got there at 5:30 with Malek and met up with some of the rest of you guys. Hung around with Taha in the DJ booth for a while, that was fun! I felt special cause I was allowed in, thanks guys!

Throughout the 3.5 hours I was there, he played a whole lot of tracks I didn't recognize, but that were really good.. I wish I could find out the names. Hopefully some of you are better trainspotters than me! He also played a few that I know, those that I remember are:

Gouryella - Ligaya
Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Mix)
Marco V - C:\del *.mp3
Chicane - Autumn Tactics
Darude - Music
Madonna - Ray of Light (? remix)
Ferry Corsten - Indigo

I had a blast dancing almost the whole time after I couldn't contain myself any longer standing around

All in all, I'm very glad I dragged my sorry ass out of bed at 4am to see Ferry, cause he was awesome! I also loved that there was so much space to dance, although the dancefloor was getting patchy by around 8am

So, does anyone know the name of that song with the drums and congas and stuff in weird beats?

Ferry didn't last 6 hours either, he finished @ 9am. I think that he gave us a great show. He must have been sooo tired, he was really into it all night, I had a blast , gotta go to bed now. Working @ 5.

Oh good, so I barely even missed the little bit of the end

Posted by malek on Jun-21-2003 15:39:

I really liked this night, enjoyed it way more, than last week. Corsten is always up to party and you can feel his energy!! Also, the smoke machine wasn't working and that was a relief (it will get fixed for tomorow ) I had fun talking with all of you guys and girls
one last thing, no posers that night, everyone was there for Ferry

Ferry blew me away once again.

It was the perfect crowd... lots of room to dance...which I did almost all night ... I only took 2 or 3 breaks cause my stomach was hurting soo much.. it started at Amir... I wonder why.... hmmmmm

Why didn't he played "Sublime" ?!?

Posted by malek on Jun-21-2003 16:03:

i told him, and he said that he had played it at the beginning. and asked if there was lots of requests for it, he could play it at the end... i said well one guy asked, he said that he'll play it as a last track, but changed his mind for carte blanche.

Posted by TechnoFreak on Jun-21-2003 18:04:

one word: WOW!!!

I had a fantastic time, ferry was unbelievable, as usual, but he also surprised me when he went off track and played different songs than you aren't used to hearing... by 8 am i was finished and couldn't go on anymore, i had been up for 27 hours straight, i needed sleep...

once again i had a great time with all you guys, and even though it wasn't packed, it was still hot, not nearly as hot as last week, but still...

Ligaya, my favourite song, i was so happy when he played it...

anyways, i am spent, i need to take it easy...

Biggy i just saw you at the door last night arround 4:00 am.
i stayed at ARIA untill 7:30 but still you didn't show up in the DJ Booth to party with Ferry and all the others. How come?????

TechnoFreak you were dying to listening to Ligaya and Ferry kept telling you later later. You were like a little kid waiting for his candy

Posted by USMC_Greg on Jun-21-2003 19:18:

I had alot more fun at this event than I did at the Tiesto/Armin/Ornakel event. There was more room and it was alot less hot (But I still think there's something wrong with the a/c).

I got bored with the techno and the few prog tunes he played. But the trance he did play kept me going.

So we actually heard it... hmmm... I'm wondering what song it was

Posted by kate on Jun-21-2003 21:32:

Oh yeah, was it just my imagination or were there a lot of guys there?

And the funniest part of the night was that guy lying on the floor and the girl taking off her shirt and doing weird dancing arm movements with him standing above him. Crazy pill poppers

what a wonderful night again with Ferry , i swear he never disappoints , such a great interaction with the crowd and the music ... wow Ferry went harder this time and the best moment was when he was throwing all the good techno tracks (Andreas Kauffelt - Datenstrom !!!!!!!!) man technowhores representing spcially alec who enjoyed it more than us all

as usual it was great meeting you all guys , at the beginning i felt really sick and i was telling myself i'll probably leave at 6 because i wouldn't be able enough to manage staying the whole night !!

and malek the bitch i thought we left at the same time don't tell me you went back inside again because you should have told me (i found a nice msg on the phone when i woke up ahahahaha)

What an amazing night (first time seeing Ferry). He is for sure my favorite DJ now and I probably enjoyed tonight more then last week. I was so happy when he played street carnival at end, by the way Fast was it you who requested it cause I sa you talking to him a few minutes before he played it. It was great meeting some new tranceaddicts at Amir and thank you Pat for the reduced ticket. Ohh yes and thank you Biggy for those sik t-shirts .

Kate once again we missed meeting each other

Posted by kate on Jun-22-2003 02:38:

Where were you hiding? Do you people not take a break from dancing? I was on the dancefloor, but also near the other TAs for the whole time I was there.

Nacht, you don't take a break, I didn't see you, or just didn't recognize you anyway, did you see me?

Posted by Dj Nacht on Jun-22-2003 03:59:

Kate I took a couple of breaks most of the time I went to sit on table or couch to the left of DJ booth. I asked Fast if you where here and he said he sa you but I couldnt find you. I sa someone watching Ferry inback of booth for few moments near end of his set but wasnt sure if it was you.

Posted by Taz on Jun-22-2003 15:44:

It was great meeting the TAs at Amir. Unfortunately I left early for reasons that would take too long to explain here, (apologies to those I didn't say goodbye to).

Posted by ACA2000 on Jun-22-2003 16:35:

what a great night!!

my friends and i left ottawa at about 1:45-2:00. thank you very much pat for the reduced tickets. as we were waiting in line we saw ferry coming in through the doors sow e knew we hadn't missed anything yet. ferry played a great set. he mixed it up quite a bit which was nice.

it was also nice meeting you preace. i was there behind the dj booth right til the end watching preach play. this guys has some serious skills and knows how to keep the crowd going. this is the first time i stayed at aria right til the end, preach it's all your fault...lol

Posted by alec on Jun-22-2003 18:27:

What a night! Man Ferry never disapoints. Props to all the TA's and razer for the discount ticks!
I love ferry, everyone has said enough about the performance so I won't repeat it all!. Amazing is all I wanna say.

I don't remember hearing from the heart!

There was a huge pileup on the way home from Montreal, one car was standing upright on another car! and the lineup of cars was from atwater to kirkland, it was a mess, but we were on the other side of the road! WOOT

Posted by fastmp3 on Jun-22-2003 19:54:

alec i hope you're still keeping my 50 cents

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 00:00:

Of course! those aren't the loonie versions!

Posted by USMC_Greg on Jun-23-2003 02:51:

I want to see the video Malek shot. hahaha
Remember on the Encore song (Carte Blanche), Malek zoomed in on the girl on the rizer. She then danced for the camera, and caressed her succulent juicy breasts for the camera. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! :-)
