Well, i've met some idiots in my time, but these blokes almost take the cake.

Like all the people here on the board are so open minded. When a thread about one's favourite mc was opened (nearly) everybody flamed the threadstarter. Way to go people

Yes, you're entirely right about that but what I found so sad and amusing at the same time while reading that Soulseek thread is not that "mrchinaski" hate's trance, it's just how completely close minded and stereotypical his comments are.

But yes, some of the people who replied to that hip hop thread weren't much better.

Some tracks could actually take up just an hour to produce. I think sandstorm by Darude was one.(ffs, I'm not sure,so keep the flaming for some other time) Ofcourse I like trance and I know that to produce a decent track you need several hours or days or whatever. I'm not supporting the guys' sayings.

Several people that listen to trance(or any other similar genre e.t.c.) might have no idea of how a hip-hop track is produced(including me) and say things totaly untrue.

im sure that a trance track could be produced in an hour, but think, any track of any genre could be produced in an hour (especially dnb, hiphop etc...). Its only when you start getting quality trance and music in general that it takes longer to produce. Just look at the new DuMonde tune, it aint brilliant im afraid to say but still, they took freckin ages doin that an i'd for one call that trance, not crappy cheese made for money. in that respect, trance is an artform, you can make a tune in an hour an call it trance but unless its quality, its jus random sound

i don't believe it is possible to produce a track in one hour.. how simple a track may seem, you always have to come up with good sounds first, and the melody.. then the whole arrangement itself, mastering afterwards.. i can't see anybody do all of that in just one hour, unless the length of the track is less than one minute..
