What song got you into trance and when?
I'm just intrested in when everyone on this board got into trance and what song would you say was the song that did it?
My info:
1990
Apotheosis - O'fortuna
For hard trance it was, Scot Project - O (Overdrive)
For melodic trance it was, Oceanlab - Sky Falls Down (AvB Mix)
System F - Out of the Blue
dont remember when
sasha - xpander
binary finary - 1998 (pvd mix)
Not sure about the one and only tune that lead me towards trance but here's a few of the more trancy records i bought back in 1992:
Taucher - Happiness
Orbital - Halcyon > on Radiccio EP and was later renamed to Halcyon + On + On.
My addiction to electronic music got started years b4 this though, in around '86 with such artists as Kraftwerk, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre & Westbam,...
I got the ISOS2 CD from a mate ( I was an uber l33^ trance n00b back then) and was hooked ... totally hooked ...
The song was Weekend Players - Into The Sun (Riva 5.30 Edit)
First heard on Wednesday, 22 May 2002 3:14:04 AM
Second Trance song I heard was 4 strings - Into The Night (Radio Mix) on Wednesday, 22 May 2002 4:49:34 PM (about 12 hours later), and I thought, holy fuck, how did I not come across this earlier.
I contacted my younger brother almost immediately and asked him if he was into dance music; he kind of chuckled and said yeah, and that I should check out Paul Van Dyke - We're Alive, and Lost Tribe - Game Master.
I was in heaven. Never looked back.
Hmm, a friend recommended to me to download DJ Special K thing, and the first note of the mix (Either ATB - 9pm or Don't Stop, can't remember) and I was hooked. This was, i think, end of '99
sash - ecuador? 97
robert miles - children 97
all in 98 / 99
sm trax - got the groove
alice deejay - better of alone
atb - 9pm/dont stop
stardust - music sounds better with you
moloko - down down down?
arman van helden - ?

Ayla - Ayla (Original Taucher Mix)
to this day, it's still my favorite of all-timmmeeeee. There is none better
2000
Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone
Robert Miles - Children
well the first trance song was
Ayla- Ayla, someone I know sent me it and hooked me on the music.
Before that I'd heard some extremely cheesy stuff off of my brother. He didnt really know much.
i cant recall but it comes down to either of the three
1. ayla - angelfalls
2. pvd - for an angel
3. atb - it's a fine day << is this labeled correctly?
i think it was back in the late 90's
b_1 youre nuts
iio - rapture was the first trance tune I ever heard. My freind sent me an mp3 of it about 2 years ago if my memory serves me correctly.

Magik 4 - Rising Star - Touch Me (Original Mix) mixed into Kamaya Painters - Northern Spirit (Original Mix)
from the moment I heard those two songs mixed together (and at the time, i thought it was one looooong song) I was hooked.
Blank & Jones - The Nightfly about 4 years ago I think
Robert Miles - Children (early 1996)
....and all the tunes on Oakenfold-Tranceport
After that, well, I became addicted.
Meet Her At The Love Parade '97
This tune hit me like a bag of bricks. Ever since that, i got into electronica.
ayla - ayla
early 2002 or late 2001..dont remember
Chicane - Saltwater
I first heard it during the summer of 2000, and I haven't ever looked back.
