Solid Globe - North Pole (Dave Begic's Remix)

hey guys i've been working away from last friday until now, a good week and come up with this remix for the new competition.. hopefully my remix is something the judges are after as the winner might see a release.

its a remix for solid globe north pole, please download it here, dont forget to *save target as*, because from what i can see it tries to leech it to a temporary folder and i'd rather you let the file sit and waste space on your hdd (to those that grab it).

http://www.piranha.net.au/dave/Soli...ozen%20Mix).mp3

please feel free to comment, i think its definately the best peice of work ive churned out.. and im glad to be progressing far along with production. oh and i can guarentee ill be playing this one in all forthcoming dj sets to those who like it =).

cheers!

dave

Dave thats quality, I'm impressed, cos usually when checking out an amatuer production, they sound exactly that - amatuer But this is sweet as, i'm lovin it!

You'll be pleased to know GorgeousGeorge has burnt a copy to CDR for his gig at a 14th bday too!

but the rest is great

hey everyone.. back from the snow!

awesome remix dude, consider sending it over to Solid Globe - who knows, may be this is the remix they are after.

keep up the good work.

I don't like it (and I'm not being an anti-trance fag either) its got potential, but at the moment its pretty poor, altho still better than what you have sent me in the past.

there's some floors in the composition of the song that I need to talk to you about Dave, if u got the time on IRC soon...

Slade.

the melody that comes in at 28 secs sounds a bit off key to the rest of the track
work on your bassline.. needs to be more driving!

good effort non the less

Hey dave, good job man!

it was awesome man.. seriously mad. snowed non-stop for the last few days which topped it off. Did you end up going to canberra dude?

Posted by webmeister on Jul-26-2003 09:54:

Quality work Mr Begic

I like this a lot....

Posted by JayKuE on Jul-27-2003 05:19:

great improvement from ur previous works dave.
love the breakdown, buildup is good but could progress on it further. make it stronger, more powerful, more driving. whole tune needs a lil more drive, and i think that comes with the bass line as jace mentioned.

lotta potential on these boards.

yeah ended up going down with webmeister and some ITM crew, awesome weekend ! highlight of my hols. forsure ! catch u at halcyon this fri forsure though

Posted by Aesthetic on Jul-28-2003 02:13:

hey people just got on and wanna say thanks heaps for the comments, i can assure you that the melody at 28secs is in the same key as the rest of the song, but i will look in to the bassline and driving aspects of the track, although i have to warn that my processor cannot handle the song anymore and i cannot listen to it in the program to make touchups . id have to export it to mp3 listen to what i wanna change and change it, which makes it a real bitch.

I tend to disagree, this is no doubt the best piece of work that he has done, and is shoulders above other amateur productions i have heard. Keep at it dave, got with ure gut mate cause to me i thourougly enjoy it

Nice work and good luck.

Ralph.

Posted by jizza on Jul-29-2003 01:50:

shit nigga, handy piece of work! a lotta good suggestions being given here but i actually like it the way it currently stands... unless you feel you can improve it dave.

Posted by Aesthetic on Aug-05-2003 02:52:

i used to vsti synths and fruityloops studio for sequencing, mixed it all in wave lab. 100% software on this =).

ps. i sent it in the mail on the weekened, cost me $35 bucks to get to holland but itll be there in time for the competition this week.

fingers crossed..

Posted by JayKuE on Aug-05-2003 07:01:

did you end up making any alterations?
not that u had to.
its all subjective, all upon tastes really.

g'luck and all the best for it tho.
