best club in Northeast

what is the best club from DC to Boston???

EDIT: as in if you could see the dj of your choice at one of these clubs, where would it be? include crowd, prices, location, overall atmosphere, sound system....etc...

you need to edit it a bit. Glow isn't a club and either is Code. Just switch it to Insomnia and Nation.

Also, is this based on 1 night or overall because most of those places also have hip-hop/international nights.

as a venue, i chose trust cause it is gorgeous. though i think nation is better. code is a club across the street from nation...

gosh.. all that code nation stuff is confuse'n me.. lol why cant they call the club code or nation and not both?... or is code a name of the people that puts together the parties for nation? anyways... i think roxy is a nice club in terms of venue and layout. dont really like the crowd or management...but its a hell of club!

but to clear things up:

CODE IS THE NAME OF THE PARTY THAT NATION HOLDS...NATION IS A CLUB, IT IS NOT CALLED NATIONS, NOR BUZZ, NOR CODE. CODE IS A WEEKLY PARTY THAT NATION HOSTS. JUST LIKE INSOMNIA HOLDS GLOW EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT.

^^^^^WOW.....thats what i just said. and to clear things up a little more......"code" used to be "buzz" untill they got shut down.

Avalon, hands down... from any I've been to in the Northeast. And for all intensive purposes, I think we can assume that "Glow" and "Code" are in fact clubs. Thats like saying Virginia and Massachusetts aren't states, they're Commonwealths.

I voted for arc.

I feel that vibe out weighs a venue in some ways...


Oh and on a side note we have had some of the hottest partys in the north east for the past year

i agree, arc has the best parties and the best vibe IMO.

btw i voted for arc

My vote goes to Arc...it has a great vibe, everyone is there for the music, it is a NO-bullshit type of place, and they constantly have kick-ass lineups...being the first US club to have Nu-NRG!!! I mean, COME ON!!!!!
not to mention, you can be there up front all night long and never suffer hearing-loss because of their spectacular sound system!

yea i picked pretty much at random....oh and i based my decision off of pics i've seen....

but yea i have yet to actually travel up that way and go to any of those clubs yet.....some day....

I would say it's a toss up between Arc & Roxy. Arc might have that dark cool atmosphere, but it really lacks the proper space and light show to have a really big party. Last year I hated Roxy, but after seeing Armin last month I really think it's the best spot to have a big party. PVD, Tiesto, and Armin always choose Roxy over Arc probably for the same reasons.

I have yet to visit a club other than ROXY. I really hope that the other clubs are on par or better than ROXY (Not saying that it was bad...I enjoyed the scenery although it felt a bit crowded at points)

yes, the party at nation on fridays currently is called code but there is also a club across the street from nation that is called code, not the party. i dont know if there are still weeklys there but i have been there.

No! there are no clubs across the street that are called Code. There is Edge on the northeast side of Nation. besides that, there are parking lots all the way around Nation.

No... your wrong... Mel. there is no Club in DC called Code....

Yeah I agree. first of All the main dance floor in Insomnia(Glow) is concrete! come on people...you know what that does to the sound system!??!? I personallly think Nation is the BEST venue in DC area....PERIOD!!

Nation is a CLUB/VENUE, a venue is a building where events are held.
Code is a Clubnight (aka a Party) that has a residency at Nation
Just like Glow is a Party that has a residency at Insomnia. It is not an actual club or building.
Nation is seperate from the Code party/promotions, they are under different management, ownership and direction.
Edge is across the street from Nation, as well as Wet which is a gay club.

Code is the name of the venue in Birmingham, UK where Godskitchen holds it's weekly party.

Duhhh! we were aware of that!

Nation is def. the best venue in DC... although its Friday Nights could be used more effectively... sorry Reuben, besides booking Fleming, Code needs A LOT of work...

As for Glow.... Bad sound, bad lighting, bad management, bad vibe, bad line management, terrible prices on drinks, worse vibe, Johan Gielen... I mean all of these things are just TERRIBLE... c'mon ppl. get with the fucking program! The Dj isn't everything...

that's right.... i was confusing myself. i think the party that was at edge last summer that i went to was called code.

i've also been to code in birmingham. and strictly as a venue standpoint, nation is still better.
