HappyHappy Looking for collaboration on a Scot Project-style track

Hello guys,

I would like to write a new Scot Project-style hard track, and I already have the basic melody. I'm wondering if someone wants to collaborate (the way others on this forum do) on it or maybe remix it. I don't have enough time to do it on my own right now but am open to collaborations and advice.

HERE is the melody.

i like the melodie... think i would have changed a couple of notes thou..

collaborate... don't know... have tryied to do it before..
have worked out nice sometimes, but most of the times not.
might be becaus we don't really make the same style of music and don't really work the same way wich can be annoying sometimes.

but i could always remix it

Enjoy: This is the simple Fruity file with just the arpeggio.

.FLP file

But remember to add some PHAT Scot Project-type hard BASS in there! hehe

hehehe....

have already fixed some nice synth's, fixed the melodies and such now... got a kick.. almost a bass.. it's nice, but it doesn't stand out that much :/ gotta fix that...
i got some percussions

kinda have the main part ready now.. just need a intro and a breakdown... fix some more on the buildup and then a outro and such... hehehe.. think this is going to turn out nice

hope so atleast... hehe

I quite like the melody actually, tho its a little short. so i might have a go and see wot i can do with it and report back

Edit :

okay heres a sample of wot i made, tho i reckon it could be prob more of a remix, than a colab on original version. depends wot u think

rename to .mp3

Sample here

Cool

sounds nice, i would do a collab with you if u want, but i would have to force you to get rid of that zeta piece of shite

btw, this sounds more alphazone than scot project to me, ill post a clip in a sec

all right... but since when is Zeta a piece of shit?

What do _you_ use, anyway

and the reason I said Scot Project is because it sounds like "S (Outer Space)"

since always, the oscillator power is weak and the synth itself is very limiting and renders incorrectly.

 a combo of 3xosc, absynth, waldorf q, vaz, pro-53...

 i don't see the similarity

Very nice!, but why do you have the clap leading the way, in place of a kick? Sounds like the clap is coming first ;p

Failure to comply, LOL

nothing speciall... was mostly just trying to do some changes in the melodie....

right click>save as

so don't mind how i have made it.. will be another intro and such in it... maybe some synth changes and such. and the drums and bass was just placed there kinda quick...

dbl: sounds nice! I like it! BTW that MP3 contains a block of silence at the end.

djtezz: Why the sarcastic smiley? Did you somehow "expand" that arpeggio or did you apply a synth to it. The sound is full and rich, so that's good.

Very nice, guys! Me like!!

Gah , throwing around collab offers. What about me eh?, lazy bum

And god dammit, quit it with the sig editing, it makes me look lame it does

great

but hmmm... yeah.. noticed that now.. strange

Hm.. well, I was trying to "synth-ify" this melody myself, but I can't find a good synth!

I'm using VAZ from 2001. First of all it's a pain to try out different patches, you gotta keep going to that File > Open Patch menu every time, because they're all separate files. Also whatever effects you record will not transfer over to Fruity.

I'm willing to overlook all these probs if I at least find a GOOD, kick-ass lead synth. But so far the only palatable one I've found was 4MOD or something like that.

You VAZ users, give some advice!

(I'm using VAZ because z3ta+ is a piece of shit according to some people here )

P.S. - dbl: I really dig your slightly changed version!

Posted by arctic on Aug-21-2003 04:17:

I'm really happy with my vaz, its working its way into all my tracks now. I;ve found the secret to be in the FX used. I find myself tweaking them more than the synth itself. Flanger (and some light overdrive), reverb, delay, and eq is what i generally use for my vaz leads.

Posted by Luke Terry on Aug-21-2003 10:40:

Cool

well, the secret to synths is not patches, but to actually make your own sounds...

Cool
