Midway - Amazon Remixes

As seen on the black-hole site, the release for Amazon is set on October/November this year. The vinyl will contain the Original Mix, Mesh Remix and some new blood in the scene, the Sander van Dien Remix.

We all know the original (and most of us love it) which has it's techy intro followed by a great melody. 9/10.

The Mesh remix starts of with some synths, slowly building till the strings come in. Around the 4 minute mark the main melody kicks in. Quite a nice remix but it's lacking in energy. 7/10.

The Sander van Dien remix kicks off with a ferm beat. Nice echo effects throughout the whole song which give it a bit more 'dimension'. Also some vague female vocals are added (not overly done, don't worry ). The theme of the original is well used, slightly altered, making this the best remix of the two. 8/10.

Liked the melody on Amazon, but didn't care for the intro and outro. Maybe the Mesh remix will have a less 'techy' sound to it.

on the contrary, the "techyness" of Amazon is what made me like it a lot more than Inca. I wish there would be some techno remixes of it!

A quality tune (what isn't quality from Ralphie?), but it sounds too similar to Inca for me.

I remember reading somewhere that he was rushed into completing it for a compilation, but I may be confused.

Sounds to much like a remix of Inca for me to be a seperate release.
On the Tiesto dvd and even when we saw him live I thought the same thing.
I guess if I'd never heard Inca before I'd think much more of it.

ralphie b originally made amazon to go on DJ Tiesto's Nyana cd... but tiesto liked inca better so put it on their isntead.. which is why it sounds so much like inca... i wonder if the Amazon vs. Flight 643 mash-up will ever see a release

Thats not done by Ralph but Black Hole seemed to like it
Dont know if its ever coming out tho

both amazon and inca were done by ralphie b.. as well as all other midway tracks... but if you mean the 643 vs amazon, yeah it was probally done by someone else

Hmm... annoying... it must been released on 22. october, but still out of stock on only-djs...

pretty disapointed about how long this is taking to get released

The release is set back to February 2004...at least that's what i've been told

I can't wait till it gets released. The mesh mix is beautiful.

If there is going to be a double pack that means there must be at least 4 songs right? So we know 3, what is the other song/mix?

Rumour has it that Plastic Angel did a remix as well! No Ronald van Gelderen remix I'm afraid..
