Mmmm really liking this...beats are great, well done and powerful, breaks are perfect. It may just be me but the synth that comes in at 2:14 might be a bit loud and bit intense, it sounds fine for the first 3/4 of the synth but when it trails off it just sounds really harsh, maybe you could make it a tad softer...could just be me (you might even be going for this sound, i duno). the buildup starts at 3:00 but i'm not sure i really like how it doesn't get moving till 5:50...this could again just me being picky. also, try the latter half of the build up without breaks, i think it might sound better. but overall good buildup, i think it just needs some more definition/tightening up (theres a lotta great sounds going on in there tho). the kick is powerful, the climax lingers in your head and the melody sounds great as its continued through the breakdown. overall, good track just tighten it up a bit!

Well you know I love it. I'm obsessed with saw pads and you've done a good job getting the sound right with all the sweeping. Love that melody during the breakdown. Your using a little too much white noise though, and the resonance is a bit much, AND i'd eq it to cut off all the frequencies above 16khz. After that maybe adjust the levels. Compositionally I think it's great, maybe the buildup could be a little more powerful (it starts out powerful but it kinda loses it the longer it lingers).

Well, i say the buildup is good, prec is just good, now, the break was nice, you kinda used a mini buildup to the break with that arp sound(call it the emota sound since you used it in a other track, i like it )then came the melody, and thats what i didn't really like, the 2 sounds you took for the melodies, didn't fit in mine opinion, but hey, thats a matter of taste,

State Of Matter summed up my thoughts nicely..

Nice remix mate, with a nice steady drive. I think the buildup suits just fine, doesn't need to be that powerful stuff all of the time.

I do feel that the high freqs hurted my ears sometimes, better lower the eq on those a bit more. i love what you did with the break, sounds really atmospheric!

keep it up

I really like this! I think the synth that kicks in at around 2:15 is like 25% too loud though; at least in my headphones.

I think this track is awesome, love the breakdown (as i always seem to say bout ur tracks) and the break beat section tis v good too
Good work matey!

sounds great.. but i agree about the high's

Very nice remix! Not as good as the original but that isn't exactly a shame you didn't top that

That breakbeat part in the middle is really nice. I only dislike the synth you used for the melody, but that's a matter of taste.

Just when I thought I was getting sick of breaks in trance tunes, this comes along and stuns me. The break sets up the whole tune, and tbh I've always loved the high frequencies nice and high, so this suits me just fine.

Fantastic work bro, definitely a worthy B-Side which I'm sure we'll be seeing soon.

i agree totally, this remix while not beating the original (but what does .. seriously its a monster) is excellent the ONLY thing not incredible about it is yeh, that little sharp synth that forms the framework of the Illuminate melody that ppl have mentioned .. its a great structure and works well with the underlying layers but needs to sound different, perhaps a little more "trancey" .. the deeper "growly" riff underneath is simply breathtaking perhaps that sound needs to be modified and crafted to replace that sharper synth

i apologise if im not speaking in the most technical of terms, im not a producer ( tho i plan to be :] ) but hopefully u get what im saying

overall great work!

Cheers novastorm,

I know what you mean, and i'm currently in the process of altering the main lead a tad, and also remastering it due to the high frequency mishaps

Thx to all who have given me some great advice!

I'm sure you expected a late reply from me Shep...

I really liked it. I though the song structure was spot on, and a really liked the breaks - yummy! Could really notice the abundance of high frequencies (yes, I'm blaming the shitty uni speakers) but as said before the 2:15 is too loud.

Get me a new version asap, coz this is gooooood!

This is VERY nice!!

Everyone is right about the high ends though, there quite nasty on the ears, once they have been sorted this will be one hell of a remix! lovley build and break, love the breakbeat section too.

good stuff

Red face

Tanks Joe and Dewi, very much appreiated, I've remastered it and changed the main lead a tad, gonna send it to Mikes label to see if its worthy of the B-side (Difficult to do if he has someone like Pulser remixing it or something ) ! If not i`ll upload it for everyone to hear!
