I like certain hip-hop/rap like Outkast and N.E.R.D. It pretty much has to be creative and really out there for me to get into it...

I know its big there, but Russian/Ukranian hip-hop was sorta strange (and not in a good way, like German and Dutch hip-hop) last time I checked. French hip-hop is cool, though...

i listen to it sometimes. its sort of hard not to listen to it here in the usa, its everywhere. like trance in holland. i occasionally have a few rap or alternative songs on a cd i would mix to play in a cd player. majority trance though

Don't get me wrong, Trance is and always will be my favorite type of music to listen and/or dance to. I do listen to some hip-hop, though. Talib Kwali and DJ Hi-Tek, Deltron 3030, The High and Mighty, Sonic Sum, Aesop Rock.....they've all got some really good tracks!

I don't like rap mainly because I could be listening to better music...like trance. Some rap is good but here in the US the majority is garbage...they rap about the same damn things, their hoes, their money, etc. It really gets old fast.

ahh US rap is the best i hate how other langauges rap like chinese, french and stuff, there is this one skate video with some french rap eck... well Tupac and the outlawz are my fav. i used to like a lot now i stoped cause it's boring

Good choice of the TRUE HIP-HOP artists, how bout aceyalone?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I consider "rap" and "hip-hop" to be two different types of music. There is a LOT of bad rap out there!

Overall, Trance IS best, of course...but I have a pretty open-mind when it comes to progressive house, hard house, hip-hop, trip-hop, etc. I listen to all the previously mentioned. I only draw the line at one type of music, however...and that is country. ugh.

I agree with S-ay, they are considered two different types. i like hip-hop. at the club i go to there is a hiphop chill out area and its cool to listen to that for a while. also my roomates are into it so you can't help but listen.
