Unhappy is Paul getting lazy on us?

It seems that in quite a few sets lately that Pvd has been repeating many tracks. i kind of understood why he did it at central park cauase it was an all ages show and he was playing for people who might not have seen him/heard his style before.

anyone have any idea why he has been doing this lately?

this worries me for what the roxy gig is going to be like....

He better not repeat any tracks and spin cheese(shh i find sum of his tracks corny yes) I have a feeling he'll be putting on an amazing show tho since its going to be nice and long.

he probably doesn't have the time to go through new tracks anymore these days with all his promotion and all that crap...

or maybe he is getting lazy.. and very full of himself might I add... i mean did you see all the pictures of himself in his album.. and those poses? wtf?

he spins 3hours not 6
he spins what he like and what he mean is the best for the party

Posted by ShellSh0ck on Oct-12-2003 19:27:

ok boys and girls calm it
it's very simple! paul has atm 30-50 favourite ch00ns which he loves to spin, he's also promoting his new album with ch00ns like "crush, connected, nby, tool"...etc.
...and plz stop comparing him to tiesto.thx

Re: is Paul getting lazy on us?

Agreed.. His set @ glow was pretty much: loaded Reflecitons Cd onto his final scratch laptop with repeat toggled ON, a few old songs, new german lyrics song and Katana Tribal beats song... That was IT for his GLOW performance.. No journeys here, as experienced before, just a quick trip to the bathroom..
Don't care how much Vandit fan u r, don't blame me, blame PVD...

He's been going down that road for a while.

Let's see what the DJmag poll results are...

Arrow

Lets not forget that over the last 2-3 months, he IS promoting his Album...its a similar situation to when a singer/artist goes on tour...he/she is not just gonna decide to perform brand-new songs....Personally, I semi-agree with the "lack of creativity" in some of his sets, but:

A. We have the luxury of hearing live recordings of Paul's sets at least once a month..

B. Most of the Reflections tunes aren't mind-boggling, so his lastest sets probably wont be either.

Personally, when Paul was promoting OTAB in 2000, the crowd was waiting for him to spin songs from the ALBUM, and would be highlights of the night...but I feel just the opposite with Reflections (except Connected)....just my 2 cents.

grow up people....hes promoting his new cd.

Posted by djeternal on Oct-13-2003 08:37:

i just think of it this way...he's had numurous cd's...and promoting those cd's his sets probably lacked during those times...but he's been around for how long? impretty sure he knows how to get a crowd and keep it most of the time...i got faith for a good set at roxy.

Paul wishes. Right now Tiesto's tracklist is always changing and he's also playing a wider variety of music. PvD mixes better, granted. But I take a Tiesto set over a PvD one any day, thank you.

but you guys do know what might sound old to you, sounds like a brand new track to other people. We've had the luxury of being able to listen to his tracks 20 billion times before anyone else. Every time someone drops a new track only about 5 people in the club know what it is, everyone else doesn't have a clue of what is going on.

So, just let the guy target a different crowd and maybe he will come back strong
