armin + vocals = bad mix

anybody ever notice that?

i dont know one tune of his with vocals that sound good...though the vocals always have a good meaning, but they just dont work well with the song...especially his stupid vs things he does on ASOT

All of the above are amazing tunes, and the vocals just add to it. I'm assuming you mean productions only, and not remixes, because his remixes of vocal tracks are extraordinary.

the only bad vocal version of a armin song is sunburn (walk thru the fire), the dust.wav vocals was so much better, and of course communication part 2 never needed vocals (never needed a remake, it was just fine as it was)

I kinda agree with the original poster, I've never liked either Sound of Goodbye or Dust.Wav. The only vocal tune Armin has made that I like is Yet Another Day. Sunburn and Burned With Desire were poor IMO.

The "vs" thing is very nice when u hear it live..........the best of them was Tiesto- Suburban Train vs AvB- Yet another day!!! You had to experience it to like it...i guess

these songs make me agree that no i don't like vocals in Armin Tracks

my fav. armin productions are "blue fear" and perpetuous dreamer - "future funland"

I'm not even going to try to address the total absurdity of that comment. I respect opinion, but this just transcends that consideration. The Sound of Goodbye is, at this point, a trance classic.

Anywho, here's my take: I find Armin and vocals to be a very hit-or-miss sort of combination. I tend to think they are either genuinely uplifting or horridly cheesy.

Stay (Heck, all of the 76 vocals)
