You should download Super_Mario_Brothers_3.World_1.SUPER_PLAY.ShareReactor.avi (from somewhere, I friend of mine sent them to me, so I have no idea where they come from) to see some skills (Change "World_1" for "World_2" up to "World_8" for all the levels)

Yeah I actually remember some of thenm...but not that cannonball thingy? And many more "outside" open-air levels... Whatever...just crazy.

It was released properly, first on its own, then on Super Mario Allstars for SNES. What I liked so much about the Mario games on NES was that they were all so different from each other(Mario 2 had 4 characters to choose from for instance), yet with enough similarities to get that familiar Mario-feeling. Just legendary game material.

At first it wasn't planned to be a Mario game, but for some reason, they changed their mind. If I remember correctly, the name for the game was supposed to be "Doki Doki Panic"

Then there's also the Japanese version of SMB2, which is on Super Mario All-Stars as Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.

It's like that in every conventional Mario game afaik - on the tenth consecutive jump kill, u get a 1-up, and more for each consecutive jump kill after that.

ya that one got released. i remember when i was little it was really hard, but that was by far my favorite mario game =). use toad =).
