The OFFICIAL Best Tunes Ever Elitist Thread

This is not another one of those "Top 10 tunes" threads. Well actually it is, but this time there's a big difference. I was looking at some "Top 10 tunes" threads and realized how many good suggestions there were, but I also noticed the shitloads of crap suggested by noobs, which normaly turned these threads into quantity and not quality; so I came up with this idea.

I know a lot of people may get angry for this but please have in mind that we'll get some really interesting results by "restricting" the opinions to the veterans only.

The members registered on/before and ONLY on/before December 2001, are the Elit grop allowed to post in this thread. Just post your all-time favorite top 10 TRANCE tunes.

Yeah I know some of you have been listening Trance for 10 years and only managed to register this month, well sorry but this is the only way to finally get a Quality and not Quantity "best tunes ever" thread.

Rasta

Top 10 of all time? Let's see...

1. Salt Tank - Eugina (Michael Woods Remix)
2. Push - Universal Nation (Original Mix, Ferry's comes in 2nd)
3. Way Out West - Mindcircus (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)... a bit new but a classic nonetheless.
4. Gouryella - Tenshi
5. Lange - Believe (Dj Tandu Remix)
6. Sasha - Xpander
7. Blank & Jones - Cream (Original Mix, PvD mix comes in 2nd)
8. Jan Johnston - Flesh (Dj Tiesto Remix)
9. Orion - See Me Here (Original Mix)
10. Shane - C'Est Musique (Armin's Rising Star Remix)

I tried to pick the best tracks that are not the typical "FOR AN ANGEL" or "ENERGY 52 - CAFE DEL MAR" or "DELERIUM - SILENCE (DJ TIESTO REMIX)... etc... the songs up there are all incredible and some of the best pieces of trance I know.

I just decided I shall no longer reply to elitist ****s like you.

How about a "Top 10 of Top 10 threads"-thread?

Please don't ged mad, I did't create the thread to discriminate for pleasure, it's just that I noticed some veterans members never post in this kind of threads, as they are discouraged by the shitloads of crap suggested by the unexperienced ones, so with this thread we'll finally have the chance to see those "ancient" members Top 10 tunes... including Swamper

Posted by T_2199 on Dec-04-2003 15:33:

my top 10 are changing at least every week..

and.. do we really need 1000000 top ten threads ????

Posted by DjSimple on Dec-04-2003 16:01:

Yahel - voyage?
niice

Posted by jdjd on Dec-04-2003 18:50:

if you are so elite because of your registration date then you should already know all the good tunes then shouldn't you?

Er... right.
So what you're saying is that everyone registered after Dec 2001 are inexperienced and only know crap tunes?

Posted by Snooper on Dec-04-2003 19:46:

I think this is a pretty idiotic thread. There are already 1 million top 10/20/100 threads, and most of the members in this forum have posted their lists several times already. Why not browse through these posts instead and ignore the "non-elitist" if you feel like it? Is it really that hard?

No but it's a fact that most memebers who create and participate in "you top *insert integer here* tunes" are new, which is only logical since the longer you're here, the more of those threads you'll see and the less your motivation to participate again and again will be. Also, new members *tned* to simply write down the latest ASOT tracklist. They're also mostly more enthusiastic in proving their "knowledge" by only posting the very news "hottest" tunes Armin, Paul and Co. are spinning. At least thats what I've observed. Sure, meaning you registered in late 2002 and not early 2001 doesn't necessarily mean you're not as long into trance. It's jost more likrly. And with that grows the probability that you're able to ditinuish between the current hotties and tracks that really mean something to you and stood your personal test of time. So I see the sense in such a thread.

Actually it looks more to me it's the diehards who think it's 1337 to only listen to the newest tunes that do that, who are hardly ever newbies. No names mentioned.
