Tiesto in Canberra...OMG!
Just got back from Canberra after witnessing Tiesto do his thing for about 2.5 hours. That set was awsome. So much energy and power in the tracks he played. It was an awsome experience to see him up close and personal and the canberra crowd were really up for it.
Once again i managed to get all of my 27 tiesto records signed by the man (much to the dismay of on of his sidekicks who said i could only get ONE signed, but then tiesto saw the pile and knew it had to be done) It was touch and go because he was swamped after his set and left pretty quickly but he came back and stayed in a closed off area till about 5.
Big thanks to joel and his brother, allison, lee, josh, romp ,skware and the pornking himself.
Dont know about tracklisting as most of us had no idea what the tracks were he was playing except they were wicked but here are some i can remember:
Radiohead- Street spirit (tiesto mix)
Andy hunter- GO
Tiesto-Traffic
Way out west- Mindcircus (G&D mix)
Dave matthews band- Space between (my vinyl as well

Marco V vs Jen- Loop and tings
Tiesto- Obsession (frank bazzi or whatever his name is remix)
Look out sydney and melbourne because Tiesto will be coming down HARD on NYE!!!!

awww spang, so happy u got all ur records signed - wish i'd stuck around to see it, but i had a splitting headache and needed sleep...
ahh, what can i say....he was simply amazing 
where else in the world are u gonna get to see the number 1 dj in a situation like that - literally 2 feet away....no barriers....no narky security....only 400 ppl in the crowd.....and for only $35....omg we are soooooooooo spoiled!!!!! i won't forget last nite for a long time
i can't believe how up for it he was - i thought maybe he'd be a lil put off by such a tiny venue when he's so used to huge events and huge crowds now, but how much was he luuuuuving it?? Hehe I love his style - the way he starts out kinda not acknowledging the crowd...concentrating, but giving the occasional grin and nodding to himself, and u can just tell he's getting happier and happier, til baaaaaaam he just lets loose and starts groovin and dancin all over the place and totally feeding off the energy from the crowd....and ohhhhh the way he teases the crowd....hehe, all class
spang, so glad u brought Space Between - was soooooo awesome when he played it....don't think anyone's had the privilege of hearing that in one of his sets for ages now...it rocked - ahh how nice of him was it to play it??

Big thanks to everyone who shared it with me, especially Leigh and Spang - Spang, it was really nice to finally meet u properly...can't think of anyone more worthy to share Tiesto with It's too bad more of u sydney ppl couldn't make it due to the date change......sid, u were especially missed - u woulda LOVED it 
Would love to be seein him again NYE.....but, saving my money for Europe - am sure I'll see him lots there.....and I don't think it'd be quite the same anyway after seein him in such an up close intimate environment....hehe I'm a spoiled brat!!

The intro I thought was Skin on one of Beemer's vids was actually Roads...
And he didn't play Gouryella....I got all excited when I thought I heard the bassline coming in but alas, twas not to be...my bad

did he play the new one from Leama??
check Pete Tong essential selection last half hour - Tiesto hotmix... on it is a few new prog tunes that he couldve played at the start in Oz.
He also played LNG- Inter city (lange mix) and Artic Quest- Raygun (relic mix).
Its all coming back to me now.....ahhhhhhhhh

I have to say it was a solid set, but from someone laying claim to the world's best dj it just didn't cut it, especially the first half hour which was pretty dull. I will give him credit from obviously learning how to interact with the crowd from armin. hope he can improve in three days or mh will prove to be a waste of money.
