Music Discussion vs. Chill Out Room

its funny how I dont know half of the people who post in Music Discussion and I know most people in Chill out

maybe cuz I spend most of my time here

so what I'm sayin is that why dont the MD people come and post in the Chill out, we dont bite

Dave is the best example to show that you don't have to be good-looking to be cool

I didn't know you couldn't post to both.

becuase MD is for elitist music heads who know what they're talking about and are pros at flaming all the n00bs

and COR is for elitist humor people who know how to have fun and have a sense of humor and are pros at flaming...well...everyone!

The majority of the people in this forum are about as funny as getting cancer. A couple years ago I used to love the discussion in this forum, but without sounding to much like an old grandad, to me it's not the same anymore.

So for the most part i'll just stick to the discussion of music, and get my laffs from my local forum

you granddad.

ahh, I blame all the older people from here that have said that the forum has changed for the worse for making it worse. I mean you guys are the only ones that say you have known the forum when it was good, so you should know how to make it good. so instead of saying, it used to be good, say hey, I am gonna make it good again.

hehe, yeah right.

I guess we have the same mindset as the music disc. forum in that when we hear a joke that is a few days old we say its an old joke stfu. Likewise in their forum when a track reached one week from ever being heard (not released, just heard in someones mix) it is also old and overplayed.

I like both rooms, but i post more in here (and not that much really), admitedly i haven't been on the site a year yet, and it has been a steep trance learning curve, and forum workings. I have come to the conlcusion that i dont see the point in posting unless i can express a form of opinion. and therefore seem to spend my time reading rather than posting.

I definitely post more in the ukta forum, thats a place of home at any computer

King

chill out room is just pure quality, music discussion, is just abt music...?

chill out room is just topics of today, like what pisse(s)(d) us off for the day etc

and general spam and crap that nobody really cares abt sorta thing.

I don't need to discuss music, I've got 500 posts.

Exactly!

Btw, didn't the mayday logo have an additional vertical line at each side of the amblem?

Posted by whiskers on Jan-26-2004 21:43:

you people should be glad to be part of TA, where you can post the way you post now. there are forums out there, terrible forums, which either have people with no sense of humour at all, completely closed-minded people, like the whole board, nazi mods, etc.

chillout room is chillout because you don't have to be serious here and that's what we come here for.

as for MD, let them have their "OMG this track rocks" and "OMG post your top 2485 classic tracks with piano melodies layered with guitar riffs"

I screwed around with the 1999 Soundtropolis and the 2000 Datapop flyer

music discussion - full of threads which are shit because theyre boring

chillout - full of threads which are shit because they are, erm, shit.

If the Chillout room is an outhouse, the Music Discussion forum is a hole in the ground.

We may be arch enemies, but you have good taste in music.
