Drugs are bad mkay!

hey,

i'd really like to hear from people who think marijuana is "bad", what exactly do you think is bad about it? What is it about taking drugs that bothers you?

Just wondering

While you're at it, why don't you explain why biting your own arm off with a mouthful of vinegar is bad for you, coz I sure don't know why...

EDIT: In answer to your question though, it doesn't personally bother me that other people take drugs, just so long as it doesn't affect me in any way (like breathing cigarette smoke etc). People can do what they like.

and here i thought another "arturo the caner" thread was going to happen...

Posted by TRanCE643 on Feb-24-2004 03:23:

i think its the whole drug association it has. people who have never smoked before think its like this evil thing. everyones entitled to an opinion.

also known to be a factor in schizoprenia in some people. doesn't seem to be a problem for most people, but definately makes me severely paranoid both whilst directly affected and for some time (about a week) afterwards.

This is the main evil of weed, and the reason I no longer smoke during semesters. When you start to use it to forget about problems/stress, that's when you should stop... this applies to any drug, including alcohol.

in my experience i havnt ever heard of a good excuse not to at least try smoking pot. if some poeple dont like it thats understandable casue its not practical to think eveyone will enjoy it, but the fact that some poeple have never even tried it bothers me, like what do they think there saving themselves from.

Dude, fuck weed - it's nothin special, but don't tell me you've never tried sushi... you're really missing out.

As far as i remember from chemistry theres a part of our brain that is effected by a chemical in weed and other livign things dont have that part of the brain like dogs etc,,, Do some research on weed sideffects i sugest, but wouldnt it destroy braincells in a long term effect ?

Posted by Radagast on Feb-24-2004 05:11:

never, I hear it is good.

wierd, I have never had a desire to try new foods. I am just too lazy I guess.

Posted by dhope on Feb-24-2004 05:40:

I think as it's considered as 'forbidden' in most countries, if one uses it one is one step closer to other 'forbidden'/stronger/more harmful drugs out there.

BUT as the users tend to say "this doesn't affect to me" it's OK to me and I don't have a right to deny it from others. But I still want to say that much of ppl don't know themselves well enough and later they may find themselves using more shitty stuff.

Make your own desicions!

Hmm. Cannabis does not and can not cause psychological problems in people that are not predisposed to such problems.
What ur describing is extremely rare, and may indicate underlying psychological problems. I would go for a checkup if i was u.

Basically makes you a couch potato, sure its alright, but requires more and more to get the same desired effects. Most of of the psychotropic family LSD, triptamines, have only a couple hundred molecules in dose virtually no toxins to react with tissue, causing virtually no physcial or neurological damage, and they can prove to be quite interesting.

sushi's an acquired taste, so you might not like it the first time

Rasta I <3 Mary Jane

For those of you who responded with a "yes" to the
"is there something wrong with marijuana question", let me please beg you to go out and buy a book called "the emperor wears no clothes". No, not the classic fairy tale "the emperor's new clothes", but "the emperor has NO clothes". It is a book which even the non pot smoker would find exceptionally informative and interesting. On a side note, there is nothing wrong with weed, and anyone who tries to stop me from smoking it can lick my ass...

Melissa

I would say there no more wrong with weed than there is with alcohol. But, down here at least, I find it is an underestimated drug. I enjoyed using it regularly myself until a few months ago, now I've cut down drastically. But I've seen enough people fuck their futures up with weed to say there is NOTHING wrong with it. It's a drug, so there's always the potential for abuse.
