DJ WHO?

Posted by diesel0 on Mar-11-2004 03:08:

I would never pay 200 for a bunch of his mixes. thats insanity.

Making money off spinning mp3's is lame.

this thread made me laugh uncontrollably

he's for senior tranceaddicts
pretty much step 2-3
the only people that know him are people that go to di.fm
he sometimes plays good stuff and sometimes extremely cheesy stuff, like castles in the sky

myself i kind of got started by him, i made a mixmeister mix of songs that i cut off of severa trancequilities, and listening to the songs today they are pretty good, not cheesy at all

Sorry dude but you're getting ripped off bad I think. All his mixes are/were available on the internet and even if they weren't they wouldn't be worth that much. It doesn't take much to take a few popular trance mp3's and mix them together on a computer. Take that $200 and get some good trance cds. There are a few threads on whats the best trance cd...just do a search. $200 is a lot of money...don't waste it on crap like that. I'm not calling the mixes crap, they're decent, it's just that you'll be paying someone for something they didn't pay for to begin with.

i haven't listened to his recent stuff but his old stuff trancequility 18-21, i think.. i loved 19. not the best mixing and pleasure listening to the odd one.

  1. His taste in music is very inconsistent
  2. His mixing is shit. Auto-beatmatch and fadeout is pretty unimpressive even in the realm of mp3 mixing
  3. All his mixes are widely available online

Posted by drifter sx on Mar-11-2004 07:02:

i also recommend NOT wasting that much money.. but do what you like man.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Mar-11-2004 11:42:

I wouldn't buy anyone's mixes let alone someones who has as stupid name as he does.

His taste in music is inconsistent? By that you mean too varied right? How can someone's taste be too varied? Lol...
He's a great DJ who had to go the commercial route to make money--Most do. Actually I like his "taste" in music.

To make money? It's not like he's a professional DJ, he sells mp3 mixes ffs, lol.

He spins cheese, nothing against him he's trying to build on what mos and cream have done. But he is teh sux0rz. His transitions are horrible. It's almost like he doesn't even count the beats. The whole mp3 mixing thing sux to. Nothing against software, but he prob can't even dj using tts or cd players.

So he went all the way from Dallas to NY to play at a rave. That doesn't seem logical.

He's the guy that got me DJing, and you guy's just dislike him for been a Digi DJ. And I heard of him way before I heard of DI. His mixes got me into the world of trance.

BUT DON'T FUCKING BUY THEM! HE MAKES THEM AS A HOBBY FOR PEOPLE TO LISTEN TO FOR FREE YOU FUCKTARD!

i like doboy's mixing, the track selection, even though they mayy in your opinions be inconsistant. i still like most of the tracks he plays. a lot of the stuff ive heard, i could have never found myself. and actually, 2 years ago, doboy was on of my first trance introductions. when i started listening to di.fm. di.fm was instrumental in my trance development fo sho.

really, doboy, was my first favorite dj, before i found out, that he mixes only mp3's and stuff. i was still very much newbie, and i actually thought he MADE the music. not just mixed it. i was noobish though, still am in a way. very big way still. but i know a lot more....
