I was just on Napster and someone was downloading this dance remix I have of the theme to Knight Rider, complete with voice-overs from Kitt and other funky shit... lol
Anyways.. parts of that theme would kick ass if sampled correctly into a track.. I dunno.. 
What other tunes/themes would ya like to see revamped & updated into a bass-pounding, floor-filling track?
( I know if this was a Happy Hardcore thread they'd just list off all the cartoons of the 80's)

And as for HHC, I could see Beatles - Imagine makin a good track.... has that been done already?
I've just put The Munsters theme onto my mobile, this would sound awesome tranced up!

I could see imagine working better as HHC.... very uplifting happy hardcor-ish type lyrics... and I think it would work better with a faster beat. I'll check out that trance version though
Suzaku, there was a dance mix of the final countdown a year ago (or someting). Unfortunately I don't remember the "artist", since I didn't like it, but try looking at napster.
Ewww... I just finished downloading that dance mix of The Final Countdown, it's pretty weak. I know some people hate remakes but I personally don't mind as long as they're done right, but this one seems downright lazy, add an extra beat to the bassline, a few effects here and there and VIOLA, totally new song fit for public consumption.
Ahhh yeah I remembered one more song that my friends and I have always joked about turning into a killer HHC/jungle track... the Three's Company theme

Maybe you can find it on napster. I don't know the artist's name anymore. but search for "take on me".
Then you might find it.
LOL Swamper, as i was reading i was like, damn, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would make a bad ass remix, also captin planet too! But I think that Queen's Bohemian Rapsody would make a bad ass Trance/Techno song!
bohemian rhapsody what can I say, It is the best not-trance song I know, but it is difficult to make the different styles of music in the queen song to trance music. But if it could be done it could be very nice
You know the old tv show AIRWOLF with the black helicopter, there is a trance track made from the opening theme.

80s music makes a good remix for me to poop on...just cause it is rarely done well. and its hard to take cheese and turn it into well...not cheese. id say that the depeche mode silences floating around are acceptable. Mike Koglin and Sasha's remixes are quality. i really just try to avoid 80s music in general, but therell probably be something else i think is kewl, but not right now. peez..
Hey that one song that Simcut posted "Fade To Grey (Dumonde Remix)" is an old 80's song by Visage. While I was searching for the Dumonde Remix of the song on Napster I found the 80's version. Btw, does anybody know where to find that Fade to Grey (Dumonde Remix)?
Ahh man I know the perfect song to do a trance mix of but I can't remember what it is!!! I was gonna post before that a remix should be done, but I was selfish and wanted to do it myself 
... that's retarted tho, I tried to remix Till I Come with some cheap program a long while back ago and my friends nearly puked when they heard it I hope I remember so one of u more talented peepz can take a crack at it!! (it's true, you can turn many songs into happy hardcore!! my favourite, someday over the rainbow oh and also many can be remixed to be drum n bass, I think trance remixes can end up sounding cheesy easier than the other genres, maybe it's just that I like trance more)

"Fade To Grey" has been done in a Datura (remember them) version, which will have to be my favourite of the early 90's.
What about the A-Team theme tune? I heard a Star Wars trance remix recently too.
Livin On A Prayer by Bon Jovi would be wicked.
i see u guys name up all kinds of songs which u think would sound nice in a trance remix, well, i can tell u this: about 1 out of 20 or maybe 30 songs r OK to remix, and about 1 out of 50 will sound good ( like "Jens - Psycho strings" with a sample from Busta Rhymes' Gimme some mo' in it)...
gabber or happy hardcore r way better styles to remix, why i dunno, but most of the time, they just sound better...
i think a lot of classical songs will make nice trance remixes (like William Orbits Adiago for strings, a real kickass song)
Just some additional info Busta Rhymes is not the originator of that amazing sample. He got that sample from the "Psycho" movie theme which was composed by Bernard Herrmann. Hence the name "Psycho Strings"

,thx, btw I think more of that classic style should be put in a trance-format(also thinking about 'carmina burana','morining' by grieg,'the four seasons' by mozart)
