I actually had a brush with an STD once. Fortunately it was a cureable one.
For a good time, email or
or , and tell them Palivar sent you

come over here..fuck some girls from the cactus club. You can have crabs in a second!
ewwie ewwwie ewwwie....at Rutgers University something like 60% of the chicks there have an STD...pretty sad...and that school has like 30,000 undergrad alone! And it's not to far from my house! eeek
That's because sex education in this country stinks.
They just tell you, "abstinence," "abstinence," they don't tell you how to deal with real life, that's why you have 60% of undergrad chicks with STD's.
I remember sex ed being more like use condoms...use protection....and oh yeah there's this sillie thing called abstinence. I actually think abstinence should be stressed more....but then they always add in that "but" they'll say abstinece is best BUT if your gonna do it make sure you use something. It's like saying don't shoot heroine b/c it's addictive BUT if you're gonna do it make sure you use a clean needle and don't share them with anyone. C'mon that reasoning is just absurd. I don't think it's stressed enough to teens that waiting is ok...its not weird...plenty of people wait...and its better to wait bc sex has extremely life altering consequences. And I'm not saying this from a holier then thou virgin perspective...I'm saying it from the view of a single mother raising a daughter with no help from my ex. And I'm not bitter I'm just speaking knowing that one nite...or many nites can change your life forever...whether it be a baby, or a cure-able STD...or even aids. Sex is great but it's not worth risking your life, your health or your future for. Ok I'll stop being a mom now! lol

| Originally posted by Eugene Certainly the argument "just wait" seems silly and illogical to many people (including me) if we're talking about safe sex. If it's safe, then why wait, if you really want it? Because of some moral or religious barriers?! Human relationships are much more complex than this! Let's be honest. Of course, it's another matter entirely if you haven't found that "special person" yet and you want to wait -- that I can understand completely. But if you have, then what's wrong with safe sex? |

| Originally posted by twilochik I don't think people actually realize how serious sex is...on an emotional, spiritual and physical level. There are consequences to sex...whether it be physical or emotional that people aren't thinking about. I was one of those people who played with fire, so to speak, and got burned. I used to be a huge supporter of sex. I thought it was the greatest thing. I never truly thought about the consequences of my actions no matter how "safe" the sex was. |
Eugene, i'm impressed! I don't think i can recall you speaking so eloquently or intelligently about a topic before...
Twilochik - i think you are facing the issue with a slight prejudice due to your situation.. you are not to blame however, i just see a straight bias here.. in other words if you were not in your current situation i believe you'd be singing a completely different tune (as you were before you got pregnant!).
Everyone is going to have different views, however. It depends on how you were brought up, your beliefs, religion, etc...
Personally i dont' think there is anything wrong with having sex... just use condoms... granted condom's aren't 100% safe but they are 99.9% safe, which is good enough for me. Any disease that is going to break through that barrier you are probably going to get anyways, so fuck it! You only live once!

Eugene...every point you made I cant disagree with. I have been to europe and seen how much more liberal sex is over there. I also agree with you about the forbidden fruit point. But in a lot of house holds there is no discussion of sex...at least not a real one. Maybe the parents say don't have sex and that's it. Some say nothing....while turning the other cheek to their child's sexual behavior. And some may talk to their kids in a productive manner...where they talk about their childs views...address questions and concerns...and where parents also address the risks. But I assure you the latter rarely happens. But I think there are all sorts of circumstances which lead our country to be so high in teen pregnancies...or children born out of wedlock. Even if you break down those number of teen pregnancies and single parent children the number vary greatly just between the races in our country. Newsweek did a whole article devoted to this very issue a while back...a few months...I suggest you check it out. So even with the varying number btwn the races there has got to be more then just a conservative view that is taken in this country. What it is..I don't know. I think each circumstance dictates what influenced it. And I always considered myself to be a conservative while running around having sex...clubbing and experimenting with drugs. Not all in that order and not all at the same time! lol
And ATB...I don't think I'm biased. I think I'm able to see things from both sides of the fence. My experience allows me to look back and see why I acted the way I did. Remember hind site is 20/20. hehehehehe
And I hope that my daughter learns to be strong like myself. And that she learns the importance of sex, to pros and the cons. Oh and I'm making darn sure she becomes a TA as well!! lol
Eugene that was well put, you explained the situation completely. i absolutely agree with what you said.

I still don't really understand why so many people have moral qualms about sex. I mean it's a natural human function, just like eating, drinking and sleeping. We feel sexual urges for the same reason we feel hunger, thrist and fatigue: it's our body telling us what it requires of us.
Now you may say that sex is slightly different because there are risks attached, and while there is some truth in this, you have to understand that all these dangers can be minimised in the exercise of caution. For instance, we wouldn't stop eating food because of the risk of catching food poisoning because we understand that so long as we prepare properly and cautiously, that we can greatly reduce the risk of contracting any such disease. And it's the same with sex: it's not the act of having sex exactly that puts us in danger, it's the fact that we should undertake such an action underprepared. So in the same way that we can reduce food poisoning by telling people how to prepare food properly, we can minimise STD's and unwanted pregnancies by teaching people how to be adequately prepared before engaging in sexual intercourse.
Now twilochik, you're talking about abstinance as an effective way of preventing the dangers associated with sex? Well it is undoubtedly, but it makes as much sense as me saying that I'm going to lie in bed all day to prevent myself falling over and breaking my arm. Sure it'll work (I'll never get injured), but at the same time by lying in bed all day all the benefits that I'll be missing out on will by far outweigh all the slight risks that I'll be avoiding.....you get where I'm coming from? By extinguishing our desires (be they sexual or anything else) we cease to be human, as Neitzche said: "....to exterminate the passions and desires merely to do away with their folly and it's unpleasant consequences......is castration.....to attack passions at their roots means to attack life at its roots".
This, then, brings me to morality. The sole problem with American morality (on the whole) is that it is far too attached to outdated Christian morality. Even though church and state should be seperate, most American laws and political issues cling fairly tightly to the morality of the Bible, and god help a president if he professes to be an atheist. Now I don't have a problem with Christianity at all (many of my close friends are Christians) but Christian morality is completely useless at best, dangerous at worst. It's just a series of "thou shalt nots" - that's not morality, that's dogma. Christian morality seeks to tell human beings how to act (or, more to the point, how not to act), where as philosophical morality seeks to tell people instead how to decide how to act.
Telling kids that they shouldn't be having sex isn't going to acheive anything, just like the "don't take drugs" approach doesn't work. Instead, as someone pointed out before, you should be warning them about all the potential risks in having sex (and taking drugs) and how to prevent any harm coming to yourself or anyone else.
Similarly (and this is not a dig at all Americans, just the conservative ones), the complete convolusion of morality over there can be summed up by looking at their television (we get shitloads of it over here). You can shoot 30 people in the space of 15 seconds and that's fine, but expose a breast or say the word "shit" and all of a sudden the program is unfit for TV. To compare this to Australian TV, on a program here called the "Footy Show" (a panel discussion about AFL football) one of the hosts of the show, Sam Newman, had his pants pulled down and had his crown jewels exposed on live TV. The station had about 200 phone calls complaining or something, but the funny part is when the show was broadcast in Perth (2 hours later due to time differences) that part was censored and the station receieved at least twice that number of phone calls complaining that his penis hadn't been shown on TV. Doesn't really have any relevance to what I'm talking about, but I though that was pretty funny (and can anone tell me what the problem is with showing naked flesh on TV? Doesn't half the population have a penis anyway? Haven't we all seen one before?).
Well that's it. Just had to have a quick vent.
