Made @ Arc's Final Voyage Review

I left early so I cant really review this, but by the time I decided to leave it looked like the arc was gonna sink before it reached it's final destination, but like I said I left real early. What happened to the second room, did it open in the end. The 112 crewe were a nice surprise after seeing them get slated in this forumn. Lee Burridge was good, but I preferred him with The Tyrant Sound System. The sound system wasn't as crisp as it normally is and the rattle in the roof hadn't been cured. Danny Howells for me was the final voyage. This was just a short trip back to the dry dock before it got dismantled...I hope Im wrong and youre all gonna make me look like the dumb Brit that I am.....To Alisha,fr0st,BxNemo,Alan,Mets,Lee,Hito-no lights-Kiri,Trance@CU cheers for the disc and cant wait to cya in London in September, the beautiful Christina,Sal Get them fotos on my page now boy, collibri + bird glad I got to finally meet you,Avikonen top geezer, think I saw Brianna staggering about at one point......'I'm Out'.............

Sergi, alisha, john and I left about an hour after you did. they started busting out some nice beats about the time you left, but we all were just too beat from the rest of the week to keep going.

they did open the other room, but we walked in there for about ten seconds and walked back out, people were just sitting down and the DJ in there wasn't spinning anything incredible.

All in all it was a good night. Not anything like as good as howells, but still a good night.

Posted by fr0st on Apr-25-2004 23:45:

yeah i was sooo fucking tired....... Lee burridge started ripping it up around 4:30 but again i was tooo tired to go on.... He prolly got even better as the night progressed......

Posted by trunks1022 on Apr-26-2004 00:02:

i left around 5.30, weak standards for me. both friday and saturday nights were so-so for me but i enjoyed seeing everyone out there, especially saturday. lee burridge looked like he was having an awesome time in the booth as did lots of people on the floor yesterday.

brianna, it was nice to meet u finally steven, sergio, christina, jon, mindy, jay, lee, al, it was good seeing all of u. i will work on pictures soon.

And Another Thing To....

Vlad
Raversurge + Bird
Yan
Russian Racer

I cant remember seeing the letter from your Mum's excusing you from this event......

Sorry, man.

I f*cked up my ankle on Friday, at work, so I was barely even moving around this weekend. Sat around more.

what always makes it for me is seeing everyone, jay, bobby, adam, steven, brianna, francis, al, colibri, jon, taylor, and of course people i came with, alan, serg, john -- you guys all make my night -- best is when people recognize me and tap me on the shoulder to say hi :P

fuck you to dirty guys trying to hit on me... my ass does not emit its own light show so that you have to stare at it for hrs -- this isn't exit, kids

nice beats with burridge, true... nice and hard. i was dead but i woke right up as soon as john made me dance at 430, cause the tunes were so great. too bad we didn't get to hear cusick -- i guess he came on later -- got better around 4:30 but yea we were dead by 5.

***we are the offenders***

xoxo alisha

Right People,,Im gonna have a little rant and then I'll shut the fuck up..I think MADE owed it to you people to put on sumfin' a little bit more special than they did last night..Its you people that have supported them week in week out but what did you get in return for all the hard earned cash that you spunked on entrance fees and booze ''FUCK ALL''.....All the people that i've spoken to so far left early,,fucking early...so i hope theres still people out there that can prove me wrong...Lee Burridge (although good) was a lame ass act to close the club down for a start......This was the closing down of arc FFS.........Jon Ballon,,if I have offended you,, I am sorry cos youre a top bloke................Im led to believe that the night picked up at around 5AM but thats a ittle to late in my book......whatever happened to the ''3AM DROP''........

the fact that the club was half empty proves it ''but whatever that isnt my entire point, my point is is that the fact that this was arcs last voyage went unnoticed..it was no different from any other night...Mate that place is my favourite club ever,,it was just a shame not to see it go out in style.....

agreed... seemed that danny's march party seemed to be THE send-off. the banner, the interaction danny had with the crowd and just the overall feel of the night. didn't seem to have that finality last night, but i still had a great time.

Posted by BxNemo on Apr-26-2004 06:00:

on another note, does anyone know the name of the tune that was played around like... 1:30 to 2:30 it had somewhat of a whistle synth to it? that tune was damn good.

Posted by LordQuinnTrance on Apr-26-2004 07:12:

I was disapointed as well they should have had betterr djs there.

I was disapointed as well, they should have had betterr djs there. However Lee Burridge was pretty nice. I was tired as well and left around 7am. Was kewl see or meet other TA's but peeps seem on average tired or disapointed with the show.

I thought Lee & 112 rocked it! I've had the pleasure of hearing Lee lay it down numerous times and feel his set this past weekend places a close second to the Boogaloo party he did with Craig a year ago (for anybody who attended that party you know what I'm talking about). The great thing about Burridge is that you never know what he's gonna drop next, but it's certain the track will always has some funky element to it that will have you grooving. It was nice to hear Halo Varga- Future (feat. on Tyrant Vol.1) and another track from his Metropolis comp (title skips me atm).

I agree with everybody as far as Howells feeling like the real send off, but I'm sure that has a lot to do with him being a monthly resident over the last few years.

Vinyl aka ARC RIP

Be Cool!

I had a GREAT time for Arc's Final Voyage... I was SO GLAD that it wasn't packed and instead was merely filled with my closest friends - the people who made that place my home. No it wasn't a crazy DH shindig but Lee threw down a good set and 112 ripped it up as well. I enjoyed myself immensely even though I had a terrible toothache.

Nice to meet trunks and missbliss and see everyone else I had met before! I took some pictures but it was a disposable camera and I haven't gotten them developed yet. I'll post when I do.

Did anyone go to DT? I stepped out of Arc for the last time at 6:30 pm yesterday (Monday) evening with a few tears in my eyes. The final DT sendoff was so moving. Danny Howells was there with lots of other DJs. now THAT was a memorable ending. i'll explain later.
