Thugs to emo kids

Anyone notice the change over from rap to emo? Instead of little gangster thugs running around on the street, I got kids dressed in black listening to whiney emo bands. Personally I liked the thugs better just cause some of them sold alright weed, but these emo kids are all straight edge sticks in the mud. it seems to me that they all sit just around in the dark and bitch. They're like punk rockers without any balls.

Thugs to Emo, now theres a drastic change in lifestyle...acutally not really...both groups are pussies that deserved to be disemboweled with wooden spoons.

But don't forget there was punk somewhere around there too.

there is a difference between punk n emo, the punks stood up for wht they believed. the emo fools sit back and cry and write poetry.

emo kids are just annoying. but the thugs..even though some of them are fakes, some of which are rich boys acting hardcore, when really there not. But the thugs tend to stick with large groups and think there all king shit because they have a crew of other pussies. us normal people sometimes have to deal with these fucking shits. i hate em! then when one of them starts shit with you, you can fight back, but no matter what there gay little back up comes and you get shit kicked. fucking anti-social idiots. its ok to me anti social sometimes if your anti social for a reason. to each his own. but when they start fucking with you to show off. its just bull shit. this is what this commercialized bling bling hip-pop bullshit is doing to youth.

there hasn't been a change from one to the other
now its just a buncha rap and emo and not much else

The most prominent emo bands that I know of is Bright Eyes. Also, basically anything from the Saddle Creek label is emo, save for The Faint (who, unlike most of the crappy emo Saddle Creek bands, are fuckin' awesome).

Tell ya the truth, I'd prefer whineyemo bitches over thugs any day. At least emos don't insist on driving back and forth in front of the fucking mall entrance or something, blasting rap music which they don't even understand anyway, and practically facing a 90 degree angle because they're facing the fucking cieling whil they're reclined in the driver's seat of some shitbox Honda.

no, you're right...emo kids are cooler than gangster kids.. one of my friends turned emo a little while ago which wasnt too cool, but at least he dont play 50 really loud while driving his prizm..now its more poetry and lyrics with random things capitalized in his AIM profile

i didnt know what an emo was yes, but i knew what a grundge was, and they are basically the same thing. i am no emo

Actually...many skateboarders are cool with "gangsta" people. A lot of people in my school are like that. They appreciate each other. Our drumline, only two people listen to alternative/rock. Well, I used too...still going to nextbigthing4... But.. a lot of black people are listening to like yellowcard and dashboard. It doesn't matter anymore.

Besides..there's someone in my first period who's cool with a few skateboarders.....

Two different kinds of emo:

1)the "labeled" emo

grunge was so early to mid-ninties...that was music genre coined for bands like nirvana, pearl jam, stone temple pilots, etc etc...and that music was the shit back then...

personally I fuckin love EMO music I like dashboard because it's better than hearing FUCKIN rap that it's music; it's a bunch of horse shit put together for people to "dance" to. There's r and b like usher who doesn't rap in all of his songs. That's fine. Coming from an emo, take my advice, not all skateboarders like emo music. so

well imo this "change" (cause i don't really see this change you speak of, emo's been around just as long) from thugs to emo kids is actually better. why are you complaining about having straight edges around anyway?

funny you should talk about emo kids

me band, me (6', 170 lbs) will (5'9", 180) kevin (5 something, about 150) and dave (dono, kinda skinny though) fought about 10 emo kids cuz we keep talking shit about them etc. so they finally decided to attack us. if they would have cut their wrists and bled on us it would be more effective. but only one kid had any real power, and i got a lick in the eye and a lovley shiner now form him. he's gay, but also h'es the california highschool state wrestling champ 2 years in a row.

all they do is cry, and their music is depressing a shitty

i actually think a lot of it's really really good music, and there's some great talent out there
but the music still bothers me in that i can't listen to it for very long without it taking over my emotions
i'm a strong believer in the fact that your mood can be easily altered by the music you listen to, and it seems to me that only listening to really depressing music non-stop can't do anything but hurt you
and i suppose maybe some people only like sad music in the same way that some people only like happy music or chilled stuff, but the happy and chilled people can still get by as normal, which doesn't seem to be the case for emo
so my point is basically that its good music, but it just tends to take over your life and you end up wallowing in regret and self-pity and anger
