What the general point is, is that ALL local forums should adhere to the given rule by swamper that immensely long threads that offer little continuous (on the same subject) words etc should be closed, if all such ones (this being the only one i'm aware of now that isn't) then there's no problem
If this is not the case, I simply call to make all forums non-postcount, so that people who do spam for their counts no longer are able to do so, to get custom status, or whatever, and people would lose their counts on all forums, bar MD and CD-new Rls ones if need be, or all of them, it causes too many problems, and you get gang wars like here where people bitch about uk vs us or whateve, when Leeann is proof that ppl from other sides can get on, and that we might share tastes together rather than being segregated into americans, uk ppl, canadians, aussies, french, whatever, I'm happy to say I have good friends from all corners of TA and yes, all groups have their wankers (Mikey and ste are not, infact ste is a great mod in the uk forum along with jeff to the point where we barely need moderating, only the pointless threads getting closed etc)
TA used to be a great place where all people who were ****s got laughed at, but now if you even disagree a point you get random wankers flaming you, even if it's just for an opinion, if you want tranceaddict to go down the pan then continue pointless wank discussions, but consider that many people consider it more than a messageboard, but a gateway to knowledge & to new friends, sure the net has a bad reputation but the success of the meetups speaks for itself..... so think about it pls

If my little comments here and there are considered "spam"- ok
but i mean, if we're trying to make friends with people from all over the globe through TA....sometimes those little comments is how to get yourself out there in the forums...simple random discussion about nothing in particular.
Mind you- I can see your point.....TA used to be this, used to be that..... and yeah it grew to what it is now, and YES there are some Bullshit threads, but all in all......I don't think you can say that this place should only be designated for MUSIC discussion, event reviews, and so on...... some one has got to shoot the shit.
Yes we have great technologies like INstant Messenger and all that, but this is a FORUM, a discussion forum.......
as long as there isn't complete idiotic posts all the time or whatever i think "spamming", which in my terms is just random talk, is fine.

There arnt problems when threads are not about trance...the problems come from the people that just spam, about pointless crap. and from the people that dont follow the forum rules. i heard all the spam/ppr threads are going to aventually move to cor where they belong, and all the post counts will be deleted, the way they should be.
and sometimes it is the mods fault...

i dont give a care about post count... but for example, i dont want to read 500 posts of complete bull shit, just so that person could get custom status...it has nothing to do with the actuall #...if you have 1 or 10000 quality posts it makes no difference to me. but if youy have 5000 posts of spam just to post,and feel special is a lot of unneeded garbage...
im sure if custom status came from time on ta instead of posts, there would be 1/2 as much garbage as there is.
one question
how do you know it's all about the custom status as opposed to people just wanting to say "buttsex0r!"...or "i have a small pen0r!"
i mean...either way a post is a post...regardless of the intended purpose.
if custom status didn't exist and people were still posting BS, would you get just as irritated?
and if so......why belong to DISCUSSION FORUMS in the first place?

Rather than argue with you I'll just use examples instead.
Remember the other day when you posted my pic inside of a thread? That was absolutely 100% necessary. 
I already know what I look like so why do something like that other than to try to chat with someone? Then you asked me online where I was from. That was what we all like to call "small talk". You know...chatting online inside of a message board. You could have sent me a PM, but you didn't. You did it inside of a thread where all your posts counted towards your post count. I was on topic with my postings up until then but you went off topic. Did I care? No. It had zero impact on my life. I never thought twice about it or questioned your motives...until now. All of your posts counted towards your post count...including my picture that you posted...for me.
