Question Paul van Dyk's BEST year?

What do you think PvD's best year was in terms of producing and playing awesome sets? Let us know what year and why.

So far this year sucks. His sets are horrible.

Posted by Dmatrox on May-13-2004 02:25:

I would say around 99,2000,2001,2002

I was really happy with the "out there and back" album

I've been a fan since 1998. I don't see that changing anytime soon. Best year? Hard to say. He was amazing in 1998/1999, but I still enjoy him just as much today. He continues to evolve in my opinion.

Not nearly as good as in the past IMO.

I guess I'm just nostalgic about those years past.

I get nostalgic too. He was the shit back in '98 and '99. I still love him today though.

Yeah i think around 2000 he was at his peak. Great sets that tore the roof off, and some fantastic productions as well.

Hmmm i dunno, i thought if anything PvD was on a downhill run?

Posted by Noctone on May-13-2004 12:50:

I thought 2002 was a good year for him. Every set of his I have from that year is damn good, especially his Rosenmontag's Rave set.

easily 1999/2000.

Posted by Ory on May-13-2004 15:45:

I agree, most of his sets from 2003/2004 consist of too much of his own cheesy productions... gawd, I hate "Time Of Our Lives".

Posted by arturob on May-13-2004 17:08:

2002, 2001 and 2002.

2003 was bs and 2004 is going so far allright. he can do better if he wanted.

Posted by blazed it on May-13-2004 17:26:

agreed, time of our lives

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on May-13-2004 17:46:

time of our lives is no more cheesy than we are alive, and everyone bums that.
