Local Euro Elections - Who are you voting for ?
Not sure on others, but we've had most of the party leaflets thro this week, outlining what they're all going to 'do' for us if we vote them, but I wanna know what other ta's are thinking with regards to who to vote for ?
i will vote for jeff's party

local: conservative
euro: not sure either liberal or greens
its going to have to be labour for me. the lib dem council round here have made a right half-arsed job of it since they got in last time round..
the rest are either no-hopers or twats...
well here it goes:
- the tories are fascists
- for labour, blair is a ****
- the BNP are nazis
- the green party are vegetarian nazis
by process of elimination it leaves the lib dems, but id rather have a party at jeffs
I'll be deep in the ground before I vote conservative, they're bastards, complete & utter 2 faced ****s who ruined the country in the first place, now they want to ruin europe

I don't think I am gonna bother tbh, it won't make the blindest bit of difference. The country will still be run by a bunch of fuckups
Im not!
Last year I moved in with my Grandad, and in order to save a quick buck on council tax hes classed me as a guest so I cant register to vote here or hell have to pay extra council tax. My first chance will be the next general election because we had locals a year ago (which I voted two lib dems, and one independent), by which point I shall be register at uni.
If I was going to vote, Lib Dem would be the choice for both.
we get to vote for either DUP, UUP, SDLP or Sinn Fein. Aren't we lucky
Don't forget the Alliance Party Irishclubbing
I don't even know if they're even putting a candidate forward though. So-called middle ground parties have never had any impact in the six counties.
Anyway, back to the question. The party I support don't have any candidates in my area, neither for the European constituency or local constituency. So to Europe I'll be voting for an independent candidate running on a 'human rights' ticket. In the local elections I'll be voting for independents too. The best local candidate is one I'd like to vote for (best worker for the people), but the party he belongs to prevents me from doing so!

| Originally posted by slinkyhead each election; local, national, regional, european needs to be looked at separately but unfortunatelty that doesnt happen. people will use these local elections as a referendum on labour and the europeans and a referendum on the euro when it shouldnt be like that. |

Lib Dem coz I like the idea of council tax being replaced by local income tax.
Not a clue about their other policies. Doesn't take much to convince me
