What is the largest crowd that you have played for?

Hello all,

I'm genuinely curious to get a sense of the number of people that DJs here on the forum have had the opportunity to play for.

Hopefully the poll I've put together will offer enough options.

you would have to be playing at Sensation or something to vote for 20,000+ , no? (as most other events are divided into separate arenas/sections)

about 15 people

at a flat-party...got really drunk and trainwrecked many times, only about 4 ppl liked trance so no-one really noticed

Had a little set at my school prom a few years ago. Must have been around 200 odd there

Yeah, it would appear that there are a couple of superstar DJs lurking on the forums, hehe.

i have played infront of about 200-300 people, nice cosy atmosphere!

The club i do on saturdays-1800 (severely breaking the legal capacity of the place but hey- doesnt bother me, its not my licence)
Average most saturdays is somewhere between 1100 and 1500.
You think its daunting spiining in front of large crowds- try speaking on the mic- even scarier. Took me a long, long while to be able to use the mic.

The least? 20- warming up years ago- they shut at 11:45 pm

Have been the light jock at Godskitchen (ferry/jules/john00 feb 13th this year if anyones interested), and that was a pretty large capacity- but sadly didnt spin any tunes.

I dj'd after Huggy from Beat 106 and B4 Paul Mendez in falkirk on easter friday.

Loved it!

Maybe 30. Maybe. My one and only gig. I need some new records and some more spare time.

Yah, I could see the speaking bit being sort of difficult.

I really enjoy performing though, so while I may get a bit nervous when I walk in to find a bigger crowd than I was expecting (as I did last weekend), I also get pretty pumped up by it. Playing for 1000+ people on a regular basis must be just awesome though.

Just give it time, opportunities will crop up as things progress (no pun intended).

Soulseek broadcast one night... Peeked at 5 listeners. Sad.

im in quebec city and we have quite a few big parties a year. up to 4000ppl..

so id say, 3500ppl 1 time + a few times @ more or less 1500-2500..

thats quite a feeling.. i played along with pulser at easters this year and the producers of the event did a DVD of the event.. ill try to rip that off and post it here sometime.. it totally owns.

200ish on several occasions, for me! Was very scary this first time.

just me and my sister or a friend once in a while (obviously bedroom dj stage). Who are the guys who've played for 20,000+?!? Either someone's just joking around, or some people really have got it made. That's pretty awesome/insane.

Most I've done (live) is online radio, and the station isn't the busiest so I don't think more than 10 at a time.

Had a residency at a club and several local raves. Most I ever got was 200+ people.

I also did a radio broadcast to the entire Atlanta area but who knows how many people were listening...

50 - 100 I think.

my biggest was last saturday (may 22nd) First time playing in a club (I am 20 and it is 21+) and I was on from 2-4 and it was packed at the peak with about 150-200 people. Awsome feeling. Never had such a great feeling of achievment in my life. I would take time and just look at the crowd dancing and the people in front of the DJ booth having such a great time! It was also my cd release party

I know exactly how you feel, had the same experience a couple of weekends ago.

I've basicly just played on online radio's for about 400 listeners maximum. Mostly at Trancesphere, but I did a guestmix at PureDJ too. Looking forward to get a real gig!

probably about 50 or so, in a little underground club, and about that same at a rave, and a few times online..

hopefully something bigger someday soon, but for now, as long as people are dancing, i'm content.

majority of my friends don't listen to trance

600+ once when i warmed up for Bexta and peewee ferris in march. 100-200 quite regularly.
