actually there r only the consonants when we write and sometimes u can add those little things that u've mentioned but under the consonants (except the "o" vowel that goes above) but its not a must and nobody does it...

but it doesnt mean that we dont pronounce the vowels, indeed they do exist we just dont write them - its not a big deal when u know the word-pronunciation...
thats it...

understand?

no its the same keybord but with the hebrew letters under the english...

Posted by taltul on May-25-2004 13:10:

if u didnt get the main point yet here is the example:
lets take the word "computer"

in hebrew "computer" = "mah'shev"

but we write only the "mhshv"...

ps: dont say u r sorry u just dont need to apologise... for me actually its a fun to explain to other people about my language or culture what ever u say...

i saw in your profile u r a student :-) what do u study?
me either as the matter of fact - i study economics and accounting, just in the case u wonder
i know the LSE-site (London School of Economics) always enterit to see the news or other things im interested in...

ps2: i ve been in london in august! man thats was incredible!
best city in the world i must say
its a pity the weather make troubles for u there - but anyway...

Posted by slinkyhead on May-25-2004 13:19:

but if you dont have the vowels how come all the posts on this forum are vowels and look like:

i've just finished at University College London doing a geography degree. Had my last exam yesterday so now its non stop party action!

london is a great city i love it. just wish there was a bit more trance but the weather has been good recently!

im sure u do
the most amazin thing that ive noticed in there was that there r only few trash cans in the whole city - i mean it - its like two cans for the whole Oxford st. but i was amazed that there was no litter on the streets at ALL!!!
its like how u people manage there to keep the city so clean and tidy?!?!?

its definitly the thing that we r the Israelis must to adopt & encourge here!!!

ive been in london in august and people say im lucky if there was a warm weather cause most of the time the rains r goin! isnt it?

lol!!!
i see now why did u ask me about that!!!!

there is the option that u see the so-called "jibrish" and not the original Hebrew...its happens mostly when u dont have the multi language patch that supports the Hebrew...

hhh
the real Hebrew looks different from what u saw...
now i understand why u told me me that there r the little things above the letters

what do u mean expensive?
i can say in Israel its also not the cheapest way to spend the night and there is another aspect that ill not mention now...

lets do a count:
tell how much it costs to enter the club, how much will cost me to drink smth or maybe i can drink for free (in Israel if u know the "selector-guy/girl" (i dont really know if u call it in this way?)...anyway tell me the prices in pounds and ill tell if its cheaper than here in israel...

Posted by taltul on May-25-2004 16:02:

i forgot one thing...the clothes-thing..actually the clothes for clubbers...do u have some special clubbers-brands or smth like that (its in the case u r the styling lover clubber )
give me some prices...

I must say that all this weather talking reminds me of the Vodaphone commertial where you See Beckham sends a picture where he is in his new sunny house in Madrid while Gary nevile is pissed off having too wait on a fuckin tent with his buddys waiting for the rain to stop.

one of the funniest ever!!!!

And BTW i would'nt cry soo much about having to "stand" Radio1,Galaxy and people like Danny bukem,Audio Bullys Etc on the radio.

Youve got it good buddy!

Posted by slinkyhead on May-26-2004 02:44:

tatul: in london it costs at least 15 to get in, 4 for a spirit and mixer. when i go to slinky (not in london) it costs me 4 to get in and i can see really good ppl (last time i went it was graham gold, petra foy, scott bond, goldenscan and gtr!!!!!). Dont really wear particular lubbing clothes/

viber: trust me, not alto of my knind of music is played on the radio. ive never heard the audiobulleys. danni bukem on the radio

the rate now is snth like 8 shekels for 1 pound (man your economists r doin a great job up there) so it means u pay 120 shekels in london to get in....maann its really expensive there a the parties in israel that u have to pay 120 shekels but its only when someone special is comin...the regular party costs smth like 50-60 or for free if u know the "selector" ...50 shekels = 6 pounds...
but the funniest thing is what uve said about slinky:
4 pounds = 32 shekels...the price is risible...
there r no such parties here in israel when ull enter for 30 shekels...wow...30 shekels to see scott bond or gtr = unbelievable!

i get in with a student card, thats why it is cheaper. seems that prices and london are farily similar but being a student it is difficult to afford. the worst thing is that they charge 2-4 for a really small bottle of water
