I was joking... i just said that because there was soo much hype for tiesto...

i love both, but i dont know how you can say one is beter then the other when they are both amongst the worlds best djs and yet their styles are so different... If you prefer the sound of pvd, then thats cool...

He's excellent...you'll love his sets, very energized and he gets even better if the crowd energizes him

Just a question but... since the guv has seen turnouts like Ferry and Tiesto, why wouldn't they put PVD in the Kool Haus. Any reason for that???

Posted by [dave-Da-rave] on Jun-16-2004 23:12:

cus they're Idiots...if it was in the Kool Haus i'd consider going , but i saw him last Oct in the Kool Haus and he spins most of the same stuff as back then so why go and get claustrophobic ..?

My guess is that KH probably requires special arrangements such as lighting/stage setup, which costs Guv extra $$ per event (not to mention scheduling between all the other events that go on there).. as opposed to the mainroom which is probably fit for a special DJ performance most days of the week anyways.

i'd imagine that being a factor.

Makes Sence... but you can fit way more people in the KH (meaning more $$$) and there is still room for people to dance... whatever.. doeesn't really matter... i just don't like the half hour treks to the bathroom in the guv when it's pakced... it will still be awesome

Posted by [dave-Da-rave] on Jun-16-2004 23:24:

oh give me a break..the Kool Haus is just sitting there while we're forced to see PvD in an area not big enough for the amount of people who will go see him. there are no concerts going on @ the Kool haus...Guv requires lighting/stage setup as well...i wouldnt care if the kool haus was not there, but it is.

I saw him last october too... i have two sets of his from around march 2004 and he is spinnin alot of new stuff, and any older trakcs he spins are still reeaaallly good.

Posted by [dave-Da-rave] on Jun-16-2004 23:30:

i've got his new sets too....many songs like energize, time of our lives, agnelli nelson, wondervoll, etc he still plays. But like i said, put him in the Kool Haus and i'd go. simple as that. whatever Guvernment's managament knows we're all die hard fans and would still go regardless of venue.

Calm down dude - it was only a guess. There is an event listed on TM for the very next day.. and who knows - they may be doing the setup for that event the previous day anyways. I dont even think there has to be a public listing for an event there on a given day considering corporations can book the place.

it's just a thought, so don't take this seriously.

The Guv = party in a box. It already has sound, lights, equipment, etc.

The Kool Haus = empty box. It requires a full day of setting up sound, lights, equipment.

It's easier to just book a dj and bring him in and not worry about any other logistics. Sure they could make more money at the KH, but it's probably more of a hassle.

those are all valid points....but aren't customer satisfaction and profit the 2 most important things in a business? and both can be done at the koolhaus...that's my 2 cents.

Posted by idream on Jun-17-2004 01:33:

I's really like to hear the PVD sets that you have. Where could I get then from? I really don't have nay of his recent sets.

Posted by idream on Jun-17-2004 01:34:

That was a question for iLL ....

I totally agree... i think that the guv should have added another 5 or 10 on tickets and it would have been worth it to have him in the KH... well... would have been worth it at $20 because of the amount of people that are gonna be at this event. Either way... i think it should have been in the KH but i don't mind only payin 20 to see PVD... regarless where
