Guess who might be moving to Toronto REAL soon??

That would be me. Of course, a lot of things will have to happen in order for this to go down. I need to sell my car, get transfered to the downtown store, yada, yada. But incase things move quickly, i may choose to find a temporary place in the downtown area. Anyone looking for a roomie???

Well, i figured....the only reason i drive my car is to party in T.O. and to get to work. If i lived in Toronto, i wouldnt need to drive, which would give me extra cake to spend on a place.

I want to get close, if not right downtown. I know its expensive. Is there a site that anyone could recommend for looking at places to rent in the Toronto area ?

my old area was rather cheap yet very decent...it was the border of mississauga and etobicoke on bloor....

the rooms are much bigger than the ones u find downtown....also there is the 24 hour bloor line which goes up to westmall and bloor which is a 10 minute walk....

i would suggest just driving aroudn areas to look for a place cos there are many that dont post in the classifieds

Thanks everyone for all of your responses. If any of you have a possibility of an opening at your apartment/home, feel free to PM me as well. I talked to my DM today, and a possible transfer is in the works as we speak. *Keeps fingers crossed*

I just gave my 2 months notice to move back to my parents in RH so I know that theres a room opening up at Queen & Niagara...well, my landlord knows, roommates don't yet. Awesome location and walking distance to the club district, 24 hour/frequent TTC street car, and theres a huge park across the street. I love it here to death, but University is calling and I just wont be able to hack a full time job and this full time program. Only thing is that I have the largest bedroom, and I know that when Im out, one of the 2 guys that live here now will try to scoop it up, leaving the remaining SMALL room, unless theyre smart enough to realize that It will be easier to fill the larger room. (smaller room = smaller rent cheque!)

do you live with roomates now? have you had problems with them before? shit like that.

see, i think i'm good to live with but everyone else seems to have a problem.
