Arrow Trance Addict Float in the SF Loveparade?

Loveparade San Francisco is excepting applications for float sponsors. As a float sponsor that company has full control over what DJs perform on its float. I think this would be a great promotional tool for Swamper to take his business/website to the next level.

DJs - Please note! - We are getting a lot of requests for DJing at this event! At this time we are not handling the music programming for the Parade and Festival. All music will be provided by music collectives/groups/clubs who enter a float in the parade. We are currently compiling float entry requests and considering all applications that seem to be a good fit. The number of floats and logistics is currently being worked out and more information will be posted on the website soon. If you would like more information on entering a float in the parade please fill out the form below and we will send you an application.

We could get the best Djs on Tranceaddict from around the world to perform on this float. It would really be an amazing experience for all of us.

you know what i think about this. i will even help tp coordinate this since I am local but i wont do any of the dj planning, just logistics. i think if we can get a team of people who are serious about doing this we could pull it off.

oh, and i think that the float should have the TA lizard on it.

I submitted for an application so we can get some more information on what this would entail.

I can try to help out whenever I can. Sept is a very, very busy month work-wise and I will probably be in Japan the 2nd half of September and coming back just a couple days before the Loveparade.

I am glad they changed the date to October 2....I was worried I would miss it if it was on Sept 25

yeah but to do a float will be need financial help and there are a lot of TAs... a little contribution from many would be good. this kind of thing is not cheap.

i dunno, but you figure we have to rent a truck, build the float and rent the soundsystem for it... it'll be a lot.

Posted by fupaking on Jun-17-2004 23:40:

I suppose they are not going to let just any joe schmoe enter a float, are they? A friend and I who are bedroom DJs wanted to rent a truck and spin (www.brianfriedlander.com if you are interested, I just started mixing really, so don't hate on my demos ), but I'm thinking banding together with fellow TAs might be the way to go to participate.

I quote from the LP site:

If they have more float requests than slots, they will obviously started with the big groups and work their way down.

Hopefully they will know who TA is :P

Why don't we get like a big sound rental/sound retailer to sponsor us...

hear me out

1.) there are so many companies especially in sound that would be willing to do this considering this is basically a music festival
2.) we'll get all the sickest equipment free! (well for the day atleast)

i'm gonna research some more. If i'm not mistaken even like a Nation wide company would probably do it... perhaps JBL? Technics?
